I'm interested, but I doubt it's coming to the West, and I can barely understand Japanese, so importing is not an option.

Yep. My hopes are slim for an English sub version....but you never know....they are making a second season of the anime......

the good thing is that, thanks to the anime boom, there's more and more peopel who understand japanese, so previously impossible projects, liek translating vns, now are more likely to happen; hell in the 90s we did not even get sqaure or enix games translated, forget about a random obscure vn.

Are you sure you're not thinking of the OVA? Counting that, the anime's burnt through over half the available material(minus The Spinoff!, which is a single volume prequel).
