Looks like Halloween came 4 nights early for me. Now if you will excuse me, I need to go change.

Just feels to me like a mostly feel good regulation both the previous cosplaying ban and the current I.D color thing. If a sexual predator seriously planned to do harm they'd find a way regardless of any regulations. I'm willing to bet that the amount of people that would have the appearance, get dressed up in a reasonably acceptable way and have the motions/voice to pull off the opposite gender to convince the average person ALL for the sake of being able to gain access into the opposite genders bathroom/changing room to molest, peep or what not would be extremely slim to none. As a girl I appreciate the safety worries but I can also feel how annoying this might be for other girls. I lot of public spaces that have a large gathering of people usually dont have enough bathroom available and many times I've seen a dozen or 2 other women forming a line outside the bathroom, even if its just a couple seconds to check a simple ID it still adds up just making the lines even more insufferable.

Such an easy fix. Should have thought of this from the start.

Funny that the article is still peddling that narrative of people not wanting to see middle aged men crossplaying when their solution and explanation pretty clearly show the reasoning had to do with perverts in restrooms and changing rooms.

I don't disagree, but I don't think it is pointless either. At some point if a problem is serious enough, they do need to do something even if they can't actually remove the problem in all cases. Like the regulation that cellphones make a sound when taking pictures. Someone could circumvent that and still silently take pictures of people in restrooms / changing rooms. If you can deter some while making others feel safer, I don't think you can say it isn't worth exploring. Of course that doesn't mean obviously discriminatory regulations like what TCC wanted to do before should be acceptable.

I agree with you. It looks like a Misty cosplay from Pokemon.

Who knows? Maybe Misty was a man. I mean, she left the cast 20 years ago. Just kidding. I gotta spam image everywhere now

One step forward, five steps back.
This is so paranoid, unnecessary, transphobic, elitist. Why does anyone give a damn what anyone's gender is ?
Conventions are all about embracing how we are crazy weird otaku, right?
I am sad now...

How about not making an account just to showcased your incapability of not being able to read or not wanting to read? People were pissed off that they make the ban and now that they lift it away, many people are still pissed off or does not post anything to show sign of gratitude because they are willing to listen to all the internet's mockery out there. We are still in page one while the article that proposed the ban had exploded immediately afterward. Just what the hell?

I'm not even sure how I'm supposed to react to this but one thing is for certain.
That picture of that misty cosplayer is going to be saved in a folder with an even higher security level than the one I use for lolicon hentai(not that i have any).
