Not sure how lewd the manga/anime gets, but an AT-X airing is good news if there's censored broadcasts on the other channels.

That said, I can't really recall an ANN news article simply stating that X anime is going to be single cour. Pretty odd.

a lot of times we don't even get any official info regarding number of episodes, only "amazon" listings , so it's natural we don't get many news regarding amount of episodes (since we almost never get an official announcement).

regarding censorship, I was going to say that this shows works pretty well with barbie style nudity, but then I remembered that ina few ocassions nipples are used as weapons so I barbie won't cut it.

Forgive me but I'm astonished this got made at all. If this anime is brought over here, the themes alone are going to give feminists heart attacks. I can't imagine any voice actress in this country worth her salt doing a dub for this show and not doing this under a pseudonym just to hide her embarrassment. I can imagine the National Organization of Women (or N.O.W.) or every other feminist group protesting this thing if it ever shows up here.

Who cares what feminist or what other groups think. This political correctness thing is going to far.
Sorry, but this thing of don't doing some anime/movie/book just because some people got offended just rub me the wrong way. We live in free countries (I hope).
If they don't like, don't watch. As long as this shows do not harm anyone. form me there are no problem. There are things that i think is offensive, so i don't watch them, I don't go to the streets or TV's or internet against it.

And there is no problem with voice artists dubbing this show. If so, there was so many shows don't had dubs because many of them are like Keijo!!!!!!!!

Frankly I suspect none of such groups will really care that much or even hear about the show whatsoever. No one has gotten offended at this point either. I doubt this will get more than an eyeroll from fans so inclined. And I don't think any VA's have publicly said that they won't do it out of embarrassment. Please save the anti-PC outrage for when it is real and not just imagined.

I'm only at chapter 41 atm. I figure that this East vs West war is later on, right? Because from the PV it looks like they will keep the start very short and jump to the early 20s, so basically straight to the point.

Still a fair few chapters after that before it begins and it ends in the late 80s so likely not to be in the anime unless they go at a Prison School level pace.

disappointed with 12 episodes only, though this also has its good sides, more effort can be focused into making these 12 episodes.

I was somewhat expecting the anime to not go beyond the spoiler[sweet room] arc, because besides one cameo from a character beyond it (spoiler[Shirayuki Kyoko]), there weren't any scenes beyond said arc in both trailers. Also, said arc is a good (enough) place to end a first season. spoiler[Nothing can prepare the viewers from the awesomeness that will be a second season. My kokoro can't hold all that hype!!!!!!!!]

I'm just afraid that 12 episodes might not be enough to adapt the source material (roughly spoiler[55] chapters = spoiler[6] volumes), I remember how disappointed I was when I saw the Inari, Kon kon, Koi Iroha anime (liked the "anime version of the manga", was disappointed with the heavy adaptation compression, even though there wasn't much that could be done to fit 10 volumes into 10 episodes -- never mind the fact that the anime ended before the manga did, so it's not exactly 10 volumes..)

Now,I admit the girls are very cute in this show, but it's going to have to take more than just fanservice to see if this'll be successful. It has to has to have at least a coherent story. Cute girls flashing their assets around isn't going to take this anime very far. Let's see how far this goes.

First fudge them.
2 We got a hentai being dub and brought over here by Media blaster adult label.
3 We get Eroge VN all the time now.
4 valkyrie drive mermaid
5 The Testament of Sister New Devil is being DUB BY FUNIMATION.
6 Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya 3rei!! is dub and it has sexual lesbian lolis. One my favorite anime. Loving the story so far. They also from what I can tell are not hiding their faces or names.
7 Cross Ange is dub and has come over here. This anime is full of controversy yet CR and Sentai didn't give a damn what some snowflake feels like. Also I seen some of the voice actor faces and names on YouTube promoting the anime.

So yeah fudge the egotistic feminists entitle opinions.

I don't care if I being harsh here but I will say this.
If you can't put your name on something because you are afraid of what one or more group of people think. You have not business creating or being part of something.

I have more respect for a person being proud of their own work than somebody who hides from it.

Literally not a single feminist has said anything remotely close to Snomaster's delusional scenario about this show. Surprisingly enough, what anti-feminist men tend to think of as "feminism" isn't in any way close to what actual feminism is like. I know y'all love any excuse to bash feminism, but maybe be a little less obvious about it and wait to find actual feminist outrage (psst: it's probably not gonna happen) before pulling out all the anti-PC guns

Show looks like the dumbest excuse for fanservice anime could've come up with, but if it at least has a more positive display of it instead of going for the humilliation porn like Wanna be the Strongest, I doubt anyone's gonna be particularly bothered by it.

Ok this thread has run off the rails. First and foremost the whole feminism debate ends now. It has literally zero to do with this topic. That being an announcement of a show being made, nothing else. Snowmaster may have drove this thread OT with their feminist comments but the rest of you took the ball and ran with it. By the way reporting a user for trollish behavior and then responding with your own is also not helpful CrowLia.

As for you JRPGNATION you need to stop with the rude insults to other users and soapboxing. You've only been registered here for 2 weeks and we've already had complaints about your behavior towards other users. Rule #1 here is be civil. Calling people idiots and stupid egotistic feminists is not going to be tolerated. Your anti-feminist off topic soapboxing is also not going to be allowed. You need to stay on topic and stop with the rude insults.

Now I suggest everyone stay on the topic at hand or move on.

Seems an appropriate amount of episodes. I'll watch maybe an episode or two to laugh at it then move on.

Also, how is this anything like Free!? I see the comparison all the time in threads about this show, but Free! was no where near this level of fanservice. In that same boat, saying this is Free! for men always makes me laugh because what was all the other ridiculous, fanservice heavy shows for? If Adekan or whatever ever got an anime then you'd have a comparison.

FWIW, I responded first as a general note to the two or three different users jumping on the bandwagon, and made the report after JRPG decided to derail it even further. Wouldn't say my post was "trollish" in the slightest either. *shrug*

@Rivailloli; I don't really see the comparisons with Free aside from the water sport connection, but maybe this show will surprise people with a thoughtful coming of age story? Laughing It's not on my radar in the slightest, but I'll be interested in hearing whether it really is more than a T&A fest like manga readers say it is.

ETA: Welp, that sure escalated quickly Shocked

Well that dude may not dwell among us for long now, but he sure gave me a good laugh. At least he'll go down swinging, if that's a good thing.

Oh, I have to comment something about this show. Uh, I might check it out for shits and giggles if CR manages to get it in my country. That title is funny.

Swinging at his own head. Not exactly a good thing at all. Now that his selfie is gone let's all forget about him and move on.

HUH???? Have you seen the series at all? It's very pro-female and talks about Girls following their dreams and being happy with life choices,, it's about a girl taking up a sport to make money to give her family a comfy life, she's raised her siblings mostly alone. Another character is single mother trying to give her son a better life. She's a smart, quick thinker that want's to do make it even when her male friends tell her not to.

If anything the series is pro-Girl Power, encourages girls to follow their dreams no matter what someone else thinks. People are under this impression that feminism is anti-sexuality and that's just untrue, real feminism is about equal rights but also being proud to be a woman and for some that means being sexually proud, someone like Bayonetta isn't anti-femenism, if anything she's pro, she a strong Independence woman who's happy behind sexy.

It's people like you (Girl or guy) who just assume something sexual is against the female agenda that are warping feminism into something it was never met to be, it was meant to be inclusive, to make men and woman equal, not tell women their not allowed to act on their own sexuality of their own choosing.
