Looks great, especially that theme song. I heard good things about the movie before so looking forward to the TV anime.

I see theme song decisions for noitaminA are still based exclusively around whoever Sony Music is trying to plug at any given time. Kind of stopped caring about anime theme song choices to be honest as it's always political and has nothing to do with the shows in question anymore. No surprises there anymore really though at least this artist can sing without having to shriek unlike a LiSA or Aimer from the usual rotation.
For recent noitaminA fair this doesn't strike me as immediately not belonging there and kind of immediately unpleasant so I guess that's a start before the block inevitably descends back into crap like Saekano that you could find on just about any other late night block anyway.

"Anymore"? How long have you been watching anime for? Most theme songs have always been either "home-grown" (sung by the seiyuu) or some kind of promotional opportunity for a music label. The theme song selection for Rurouni Kenshin TV series was basically "Hi We're Sony Music And These Are Our Hottest Artists!" and that was in the '90s.

IKR.
But seriously do you really think theme songs are chosen based on anime contents, Alabaster Spectrum? As far as i know production committee will form partnership with giant music distributor company then choose songs from the company's rosters and it doesn't apply exclusively with Sony Music.

Both of them can sing perfectly fine, though yeah, LiSA is a shrieking type. In case of Aimer though that's just her type of singing and I find it very original and different from what we usually hear from Japanese artists. Nothing wrong with plugging her since she can actually offer something interesting and beautiful.
Though I'm assuming you don't really understand that.

@Alabaster Spectrum: speaking of Sony Music, it doesn't help that "Saekano" is an AoA title. I say this because AoA is owned by Aniplex which is owned by Sony.
