Takumi is the reason I quit watching the Nana Anime I now tell people the second he shows up just quit watching. When Shinichi punched Takumi out in the club I cheered. Probably the only other male leads I hate more are the ones from Manga series that didn't get Anime adaptations like Ryoki from Hot Gimmick or Kyo from Black Bird.

When it is done well, the setting can be enjoyable, but good heavens Magical battle school certainly follows Sturgeon's Law.

Goku is mainly an "unintentionally bad father" where someone like Toma could be a long running series villain but is written for the female audience to fall in love with his abusive ways because "she can fix him!" or else she learns to be a human doll which is ... supposed to be ok in this modern world... wait what?
Yeah, Toma is king of jerks on poop mountain.

What a fun list.
Even so I think we are being a bit harsh on 8. Arima (His and Her Circumstances). Yeah he starts out as a bit jerky and he bears some responsibility for Tsubasa. But he does end up on good terms with everyone and his "bad childhood experience" is actually something ongoing and not just something that happened way back when.
HaHC has a number of shallow and transparent ploys. Yukino's huge dirty secret character flaw turns out to be that when she hangs out at home she doesn't put on makeup and comb her hair. Aroma's flaws are a bit more substantial -- he starts out by blackmailing Yukino over the above "secret" but clearly those flaws are only there so Yukino can fulfill every girl's fantasy of "changing him."
Kare Kano in spite of its really cheap budget and how it ends in the middle of the story is still one of my favorite anime ever.

Not to be picky about the new poll but I'd really could use a "none of the above" option here. Sure, there's the Food Wars sequel but it's an ongoing anime adaptation of an ongoing manga serial that has no end in sight so "looking forward to" is a little strong.

Wtf with these romance series where you're supposed to ship these horrible abusive pairings? I don't get it at all. I'll stick to my happy fluff romances like Kimi ni Todoke and My Love Story.

Wow, sometimes i don't understand otome games. Like for instance, Diabolik Lovers. The amount of trouble these boys give these girls r unreasonable but it's supposed to be oka because it's out of "love".

I find it funny that I hear a lot Sports related anime are only for men. Only men are going to appreciate them. Then you get shows like Haikyuu and Free and suddenly it's the ladies who want more sports targeted shows. Just find that interesting personally.
The magical school dichotomy doesn't surprise me. They're obviously geared more to men so it's no surprise men wanted more over the women. With how much the industry is being inundated with such shows the past few years it's also no surprise to me many are getting tired of them. When they become a dime a dozen it's harder to get excited for new ones. Especially when they're not even trying to do something different really than the last one.

First of all, I don't know if she'll read this, but my sincere congratulations to Lynzee.
And about the last poll... I've found most series incredibly boring... But most of all, I'm sick of the fujoshi-bait sports series. Just give us the matches, dammit!

No mention of Hana Yori Dango's Tsukasa Doumyoji? Guy just about threatens death to any man threatening or showing interest in main female lead/ love interest Tsukushi, once attempted to rape her after he seen her with friend/ love rival Rui, and made her life a living hell at school upon seeing her confess love to Rui during the first half of the series.
