So 90% of these are legends...... people should pick their favorites based off what they actually like, not just what will demolish someone's team. The same can be said for sports teams. I see so many people hopping on board with the Patriots just because they win a lot......

Greninja is Ash's main pokemon now, so it's not unexpected.
If it's up for distribution, it'll probably have Protean. That's ubers in Smogon now... even if it's mostly because all of the stronger Pokemon got moved to ubers as well. |

The thing is that there are a lot of people who genuinely like Legendary Pokémon for reasons other than stomping on other players. They might like the powerful air they exude, or they might like the legends behind them. |

Congratulations for Greninja (or Gekkouga, if you will) for winning the poll.
While it is great that Greninja won the General Election 720, I wouldn't necessarily view this as a sign of Pikachu becoming a Pokémon mascot of the past. Wasn't this GE 720 poll for some special event that's being set up for Japan? That could explain the abnormal number of Legendary Pokémon dominating the poll. |
