Wow now this is quite the news.
I expect Death March to be a big thing in the future, possibly getting an anime soon.

I saw this tweeted out today by Yen Press. I'm glad they're the ones publishing and bringing both of these series to the west. They brought a lot of light novel series over.

I was waiting for Konosuba. I'm surprised that they didn't announced it sooner.

I've been reading the web novel version of Death March. It has some differences between the two but I haven't been able to actually read what the differences are.
I look forward to being able to actually purchase the books now.

Death March sounds interesting so I'll definitely be checking it out. KonoSuba on the other hand has me super excited. While I wasn't the biggest fan of the anime adaptation, I really like the source novels and will definitely be collecting them.

And Shousetsuka ni Narou's reach continues to grow.
Wonder if Yen Press will ever reach into the more shoujo-y side of the site? Maybe license one of the ones where the protagonist reincarnates as a villianess in an otome game? Probably not until after after the one where the reincarnated hero invents guns and Othello.

I expected this to happen for both series, but not by yen press. Been reading the Death March manga for a while, one of the new harem series i picked up last year (along with KonoSuba). I can see anime adaptation soon for Death March.

Shoujo seems to be more of Viz's thing, as they still explicitly market them separately, but it would definitely be nice to see some of those over here. Maybe Yen Press will look into it, but it may depend on the sales of the shoujo series that they have already released...

There's a fan translation of the light novel's first volume and half of the second volume.
While the story and characters seem to be going in a similar direction, there's a large difference in a lot of what's going on, and the way events are ordered. I think it's better, actually.

Really happy to see Konosuba get picked up! The artwork/characters/color palette is so wonderful so I'm really excited to own it! Really hope the anime gets licensed soon too as I REALLY want to watch the series and own it as well as I really hope it gets a dub, seems extremely popular so the chances are good! Konosuba also joins The Testament of Sister New Devil in manga's that are licensed whose animes are not andI'm begging for a NA company to pick them up

Enjoyed the Konosuba anime. If I continue to enjoy it through its 2nd season, may end up getting the LNs.
It's always nice to have that option. Too many times I've enjoyed an anime, but the source material has not been available to me in print.

A LN that stars a 29-year-old guy? Having a LN with a guy my age make it more relateable. Whether or not this guy gets married is whole another thing since there's the common image the a lot of people are married and have kids by then. I do not fall under that image.
