I don't care if it has magical pixie dust that can make me fly. For that price, they're out of their minds.

Seems about in line with standard Gundam Japanese Special Edition pricing.

I was hoping to get this, since I haven't seen anything past the first episode (AFAIK the rest wasn't distributed in the US). But then I saw the price. Jeezy Petes.

See, if this wasn't a thing:

The bonus content included with the Blu-ray will be the same as the Japanese release, but will not include English subtitles.

I'd have considered it. This is about the same kind of crap Aniplex pulled. You'd probably be better off renting it from something like Daisuki than actually buying the release.

Even for import releases, half assing things like this always ticks me off.

Sad thing is it always works though. It's the number one preordered anime on Amazon for the day currently. When Japanese anime fans finally stop deciding it's okay to gouge and plunk down every single time for these they'll stop doing it. Between this and what's happening with Tales of Berseria currently Japanese fans let Bandai walk all over them too much.

Same here they kinda lied about that since we are almost may ( which is far from early 2016)

Good lord, that price. Thunderbolt is awesome but even with a dub and those cool extras, I don't think I can justify spending $90 for 70-80 minute show.

I'll be buying it.

I do find it interesting that RightStuf shows a July 2 release, while AmazonJP lists July 29 as the street date for the standard and AmazonJP editions that they're selling. The standard edition (w/Japanese tax) is about $67 at the moment. I presume that the edition that TRSI is selling has the same LD-sized box that the Origin LEs have.

Since this is an import, does anyone know if the bluray will be region locked or will I be able to play this on my American bluray player?
