Holy shit! My mind is blown. I can't process this. WTF! Focking cancer needs to be stopped. I feel mad right now. Words can't describe how I feel right now. At 42 years old. Why does this have to happen? Why?

Thank you for having an impact on our child/adulthood. Digimon became an awesome experience because of you. RIP. You will be missed.Crying or Very sad

Aw man this just sucks. I loved listening to his songs and he was a great talent for Digimon but even still it stinks that the man still died this relatively young after fighting for so long.

Rest in Peace, your family and loved ones have my condolences.

What the hell...? Ah, man! I mean, I never grew up with his songs, but... man! And he was only in his early 40s too!

This is... starting to be a terrible year for any vocalist that has sung anything for Digimon, regardless of the language. Just... I dunno.

That's terrible.

But Wada's passing might be another reason for older Digimon Adventure fans to revisit memory lane.

May he be able to rest peacefully.

Gone too soon. I still remember when Digimon Savers was airing and fans were so strongly concerned he wasn't going to sing an opening song for the series. When they found out he would, their concerns turned to joys. I had never seen such a reaction before. His impact on the series as a whole was unparalleled.

I think the most amazing thing here is that he had been fighting that battle for over 13 years. What a guy. RIP.

I can't believe....just what...why...why did this have to happen?
And when he just did the new song for Digimon Tri....
How am I going to be able to sing along with the song now?
Please tell me this is some kind of nightmare...

I'm in tears. Rest in Peace. We will never forget you.

Anime cry

Two Digimon singers in one year....first Paul Gordon and now the legendary Wada Kouji...

You will be missed....and your songs will always be remembered.

R.I.P., Wada Kouji....you can now soar to your own endless dreams on butter-fly wings...

It was his songs that introduced me to Japanese music. I knew that he's been sick for a long time but this is still a total shock to me, especially since I was just listening to his Digimon songs earlier today. You could just see how dedicated he was to his work with how he kept singing until the end and I'll always admire him for it.
From me and so many other Digimon fans, R.I.P.
*Listens to piano version of Butter-Fly in your honor.* Crying or Very sad

What is it with this year and taking away so many great people? Wada Kouji was one of the reasons why Digimon was so awesome. Ayumi Miyazaki and Kouji made even weaker seasons like 02 better than they were. I was overjoyed when I heard him years after in Xros Wars as well, and now in Tri. Digimon just won't be the same without him anymore. It's so sad to see him gone, when I remember the previous news being about him getting better. RIP
