Aww, R.I.P., dude, Wild 7 is completely over the top insane shonen goodness with all the guns ever (and somehow takes place in Japan anyway... I think....), it's a (predictable) shame that it didn't do too well, but I'm happy for the 6 vols Comics One did put out.

I should check his manga one day, unfortunately I don't think I ever did, but I'm always sad when a mangaka dies. RIP

Most of what I know about Wild 7 comes from the fun but brainless two-part OVA. It was interesting.

Gilles Poitras did a panel on Wild 7 at Fanime 2015. Among other things, he pointed out that the 2011 live-action Wild 7 movie had an English-subtitled Blu-ray release available for under $15 http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/WHV-1000443945 - a pretty rare price for a Japanese BD. I believe he also said that at the point it was filmed, it had the highest production budget of any Japanese film...
