Wow I must say out of all the anime coming out over and during 2003. Fullmetal Alchemist so far is the one that most catches my attention. I haven't had so much fun watching an anime since Initial D and the story rocks anyone else agree?

the show is good - sometimes even very good - but it doesnt give me that "something" I feel when reading the manga. I probably cant agree that its the best show this year. Planetes is one of the best in my opinion. But FullMetalAlchemist is worth your attention and everyone should definetelly look into it.

It makes me feel that somethign but I love fantasy shows like this. Berserk, Orphen and more. Haven't read the FME manga so can't judge I just saw episode 7 and damn that rocked the house. So, so, so good. I want to watch Planetes when I get a good amount of it. The show doesn't seem to have a very interesting premise at least to me so I want to watch a few episodes to see how it really is. Sound like we got 3 amazing shows this year Scrapped Princess, Full Metal Alechemist and Plantes anyone know any other greats I am forgetting.

Full metal alchemist is nearly perfect. It really might be the best show of 2003. Smile
more action and it would be perfect.
but hey! who knows.. maybe there will be more action? ;> Im only on episode 7 anyway.

two other great anime shows of 2003 r Wolf's Rain & Gundam seed.

I don't think it's that great. Seems like a slightly better than average shounen show to me. Occasionally they start to break the mold, but then just return to the formula. While PLANETES has faults as well, I like it a lot better. Peacemaker Kurogane is another good one that's recently started beening shown.
