How sad that these hacks can only think of riding the success of that one show based on another show that's twenty-five years old and has since moved leaps and bounds forward.

I'm genuinely surprised this is about the Pink Ranger rather than the Green Ranger given how Saban loves to milk the Green Ranger all the time. Unless the Green Ranger already has his own series.
But yeah, it must be hard to be a Power Rangers fan who likes the stuff beyond the original series since it seems like Saban only cares about that when it comes to merchandise and spin off stuff. I don't really touch Power Rangers since I watch the original Super Sentai but I'm aware series like RPM have their own fanbase, but unless it's the original series PR fans seem to get screwed.

Had no heard of this. I read the issue #0 of MMPR, and enjoyed it. Though, I'm a little disappointed that they've started at the point where the Green Ranger has already joined the team. Mainly because I love that character design, and it probably won't end up being around for too long.

Feels like everybody, or almost everybody, in the entertainment industry is scrambling to have a female lead. This one is definitely one of the lamer examples I've seen lately.

If it was based on the Original Japanese Pink Ranger, the slogan would be "REAL MEN WEAR PINK!"
I'm hoping the Blue Ranger garners a little respect and not just gets gaybashed like in reality. Poor guy.

Once again the ignorant posts here show why fans should not run companies. You people would go bankrupt in a day.
No one gives a crap about Power Rangers past the first season. That's the one that was a phenomenon. A comic based on friggin' RPM would not have sold 75,000+ copies like this one did.

Oh, I totally get that. I'm just speaking from a fan's perspective. One of the best things about sentai in Japan is they don't milk any one series like Saban does. You can get spin-offs, sequels, and merchandise, for any series in theory. I doubt anyone expected Hurricanger: 10 Years After, Dekaranger: 10 Years After or all the other sequels and continuations of older sentai they make, and I'm sure Toei wasn't expecting some huge profit all of those but they made them for the fans and are satisfied with just a small profit and something doesn't need to bring in cashcow numbers to justify being made. A comic of later Power Rangers series may not sell as much but if it's profitable I don't see the harm in making one for the non-MMPR era fans that exist.

Comparing Sentai to PR is wildly silly. It's like saying that ice-cream with sprinkles is the same as plain vanilla ice-cream.

That'd be a hard thing for IDW though. They'd have to get Saban's okay for another Power Rangers series to cover, along with paying a fee of some sort...and I have a feeling that IDW won't be able to go over Saban's head and do a comic based on another Sentai show.
