After reading some of the pair's other, non-Freezing-related works made post Freezing's serialization (so anything from circa 2008), I think that they try too hard to show-off a much as possible, leading to their stories having rather weak effect on the reader. They are basically "I'm your average guy, and then suddenly BIG EXPLOSIONS EVERYWHERE and I'm like 'Whoaaaaaaaaaaa' and all."

I have never seen or heard about this manga. Perhaps you could tell us why it was wack.

Wait a minute you mean to tell me they have another book in the works?

Is Freezing done?

That series is all the way up to and past the 20's.

Is this really news? Razz

This is Lim Dall-Young's style of releasing new mangas that quickly die or are abandoned, with the exception of Freezing which is his only long-running manga.

He wasn't always like this. But after he apparently struck gold with Freezing, the rest of his manga just kind of "froze" over.

RIP The Legend of Maian. Sad

That's too bad, never heard of this, but the synopsis sounds interesting.

@Chrno2: I believe that the manga is still going. Often the magazine that a manga is running in will put an announcement that the series has [number] of chapters left before the final chapter. If this was the case with "Freezing", I am sure that ANN would mention it.

The manga-ka has worked on other manga while also working on "Freezing".

Now looking at the cover again I feel like I have seen this manga somewhere before. But it's surprising that Freezing is more popular than any of his other titles. But that is quite a bit of titles under his belt.

This/these guys had a bad habit of starting storys letting them run for a little while then rushing to end them. I was a fan of the earlier stuff but lost interest after getting too many rushed crap endings.

The Legend of Maian is his best work, in my opinion. I can't find a listing for it here, so I don't know how long it runs. The last chapter I've seen is 75.
