Volume 2 in October, 2nd to last chapter about to come out, so probably 4 volumes total, then?
Is the current xxxHOLiC series still going, or has that one ended? I got behind on the series.

Does anyone know what's up with the weird uppercase/lowercase in the Tsubasa titles? I've always wondered that...

TyPINg like THis is COoL
I didn't even know there was more Tsubasa Chronicles after Reservoir, aside from the comedy spin-offs. I hope it's as good as the prequel.

Sometimes I wonder what CLAMP is thinking... They are a lot older now, but I don't understand why they start new projects, just to put them on hold and start even MORE new ones! So many series I hope for them to finish. They start Gate 7 and Drug and Drop, but let's put those on hold to do MORE Tsubasa and xxxHOLiC! Honestly, I'm really surprised that this new Tsubasa is already ending! I wonder if they are already tired/done with it? The other was quite and epic (and I still need to finish it, one of these days...) but these sequels seemed... kind of like they just wanted to continue their pet projects.
Hopefully they are able to finish up everything, and my dream is that one day X too, will finish with its last volumes. Someway, somehow.

Well that ended way faster than expected. Holic was put on hold for Tsubasa or at least has been affected once anyway. And now with the new drought... I wonder how Tsubasa end will affect Holic.
Anyway, i'm gonna be that individual this time around: X next ?
@Sheleigha Good luck with that! You need a play by play to get Tsubasa's end.

To those who keep asking, the situation with their manga X, is rather complicated. Jason Thompson's House of 1000 Manga wrote:
"Relentlessly dark, intense, and humorless, X disturbed many readers—not to mention parents who flipped through their daughters’ copies of Asuka. From the beginning, the magazine received complaints about the manga's content. Then, in 1995, the Great Hanshin Earthquake struck downtown Kobe, killing over 6,000 people and leaving 300,000 homeless. In the wake of one of the most devastating natural disasters in Japan's history, the apocalyptic earthquakes used as a plot device in X suddenly seemed in bad taste. CLAMP contacted Asuka with its concerns, and it was agreed that X would be pulled from the magazine until the quake was no longer fresh in the public mind.
In 1997, Kobe was struck by a smaller, but no less horrifying, tragedy, the “Sakakibara Incident.” Two schoolchildren were murdered by a fourteen-year-old boy, dubbed “Boy A” by the authorities (Japanese law protects the identities of minors accused of crimes) but referred to in the media as Sakakibara, the name signed to a note left with the second victim. Although “Boy A” was a uniquely disturbed individual who tortured animals and fantasized about murder from an early age, reports that he also enjoyed gorey movies and TV shows sparked a wave of panic about violence in the media. In response to complaints about violent imagery, X was once again pulled from Asuka.
X returned to serialization after a few months, but readers continued to complain whenever a popular character died a gruesome death, and the members of CLAMP were getting tired of regular threats of cancellation. Beyond that, they were increasingly worried about the impact of their work on readers. It felt like a good time to move away from bleak, depressing subject matter. In 2003, when the editors of Asuka raised concerns about the graphic nature of the planned ending of the series, CLAMP elected to stop drawing X rather than censor it. They were unable to find another magazine willing to publish the ending, which remains unfinished.
As with most of its suspended projects, CLAMP periodically talks about reviving X. At their 2006 Anime Expo panel, the members said that they planned to finish the series at 21 volumes, to match the 21 cards of the Tarot. However, there have been no new chapters since 2003."
Thus as sad as it may seem, it's highly unlikely that CLAMP will ever finish X, unless by some miracle, they're able to get the support needed to do so. Maybe they'll finish GATE or Drug though, which would be nice.

I would also love for them to complete Clover as well. Since I know that one is also incomplete, and would love a definitive end.
I haven't been reading World Chronicle as much as I have xxxHolic Rei, so I'm very curious if this means Rei will end shortly as well and how World Chronicle's ending will affect that story.

In addition to this, you'll notice that shortly after X, CLAMP's art style changes. That's because the lead artist, Madoka, had sever arthritis in her hand which made it difficult to draw. They've said they don't want to continue X unless it's done in the same style, and since Madoka isn't the lead anymore (and has no desire to be lead from my understanding) it will most likely never happen.

Yeah i'm familiar with the situation but I still have a small candle burning for it. In reality though i'm not expecting it what so ever o-o''
Still cool you took the effort to explain the situation regardless of it being a qoute.

Thank you for that. Unfortunately, there have been a lot of people I've met who don't know the situation behind why X hasn't been finished and I really don't appreciated it when they start insulting the group because of said ignorance. I love X and I would truly love to see how it ends, but because of the issues from the past, I'm well aware of how hard it would be to complete it. Maybe one day though if Madoka-san ever feels up to drawing those last three volumes.

Two and a half, actually. There technically already is an "18.5", the chapters published before they pulled it (but not enough for another volume). It got published as "18.5" in a recent artbook (saw it at Kinokuniya).
