So the voice actor for Kuroko is acting as him in the play? That's great! Since he's worked as the character's voice for so long, Kensho Ono should have a pretty good grasp of Kuroko's personality. Although, I think it's going to be strange for him to work with an entirely new cast of actors than the ones he is used to. Also, if they're going to feature a basketball game (obviously the will), I wonder how they're going to make Kuroko's 'misdirection' act seem real? It's probably going to require some clever staging, or just the audience to 'play along' and believe that said-actor suddenly disappeared and re-appeared on stage.

It would be interesting to see if they employ actually 'Kuroko' stagehands to help pull off the misdirection. Especially since it seems that the character Kuroko was inspired and named after that particular aspect of Japanese theater.

Really? That's interesting, I didn't know that. I always though that Kuroko was just applying the principal in magic, where you let the crowd focus on one thing while you're truly doing something else (that's how it was also explained in the story). I've never read a book about it myself, so I'm not well-versed on the subject.
But hey, if stage hands can make this work, why not? Sounds like it could difficult, but fun.

Kuro-chin does use principals of magic to help perform his Misdirection, so you're not wrong about that. I believe he got the idea from reading a book about magic? Though, it's been awhile since I watched the anime so I'm not sure if I'm remembering correctly.
In case you're curious, in Japanese theater, like in Kabuki or Bunraku, Kuroko are stagehands clad in black uniforms who help with props and effects. Their presence is treated as 'invisible' by the audience even though they are present on the stage with the other actors.
I can imagine if they did use stagehands in the KnB play, they could help with hiding Ono, like with a black sheet, and help him move around the stage while being 'invisible'. The stagehands could also help with manipulating the basketball when its suppose to curve and such.
