Things are starting to get really interesting for Macross Delta so much so that I can barely contain myself.

With ya on that. The designs just don't seem to inspire. I wonder which prequel it'll take after most.

I disagree. I've watched every Macross series since the 80s and Delta's designs are anything but generic. Japan is just saturated with anime today that seems that way to you.

The music needs to win here. I mean, it's nigh impossible to have a Macross series with lackluster music. Right....right?! I am not disappointed by the series so far; never watched M7 (yet) but Kagayama-Basara's songs is wonderful of course. And I love the OP!
JENIUS?! Again!

Looks absolutely gorgeous so far. Hopefully it has a story and some good characters to match.

Wow, one woman in the squadron, and a serious and inflexible one, for that matter. Wanna bet she's going to be some buzzkill for the dudes?
I love all things MACROSS but is it really too much to ask to have some more women as pilots in the fighting force and not just chicks relegated to the cheerleading squad?
And the designs look generic at best but so did the ones from MACROSS FRONTIER which still was a blast.
