Just pointing out, they announced it on Monday, not on Tuesday.

And available in sub and ADV dub. (You know it's Discotek! )
And if you happen to be an anime fan who was born post-ADV...stream IMMEDIATELY.
Like Shinesman, this is one of the core classics in understanding the early acceptance of anime comedy in the US, in addition to being one of the prime anime screwball comedies yet made.
...No need to ever regret this one.

This is excellent! I've always meant to catch this, as Anime Insider recommended it back in the day. Huzzah!

Dragon Half is one of the funniest anime I've ever watched, right up there with Elf Princess Rane. It's unfortunate that both got cut off so early in their runs, as I would have enjoyed watching more of their zany, light-hearted wackiness if it was available. It's cool that Crunchyroll has it now, that's great for spreading that 'long-lost' charming 90's fun/silliness to a broader audience.

One of those shows that all comedy anime fans should see, especially if you're also a fan of fantasy RPGs.

Man I loved Dragon Half. One of the funniest fantasy OAVs I've ever seen. This is a very good idea. More folks need to see it. :D

I became more serious about anime in 2008 (before was just various series shown on Toonami and such) but never saw or even heard much about this one. I'll definitely check it and it's nice Discotek has it available on home video as well for a low price.

The manga creator is married to the person that did the manga version of Heat Guy J which used to be a running gag on ANNCast. This is because Geneon lost so much money licensing/releasing it.

I'm glad that new fans will get a chance to experience this 90's classic. The one time you can enjoy the late Shiozawa Kaneto (D in Vampire Hunter-D) in a comedy role.

What a coincidence! I just picked this up at my last trip to the used media imporium. I haven't watched it yet, but the comments here are so positive and the synopsis sounds so wacky, I'll call it a good find. Awesome. I'll watch it on my day off.

The ending song to this is amazing. You should attempt to sing along with it.
