I honestly did not see this coming and to be fair i'm pleasantly surprised.
Now that just leaves me to wonder what version of tomoyo after and little busters we will be getting?? Keep in mind that both visual novels have an all ages/adult version. Last edited by Cecilthedarkknight_234 on Sat Oct 31, 2015 11:29 am; edited 1 time in total |

This is good. Now if we could just get Rewrite (I've already read it, but it would be nice to get an official release).

Well, this seems to confirm that Sekai is no longer working with Key. At least they can still release Clannad, but to even take away the Tomoyo fan disk away from them.
I'm excited for Little Busters. I hope they release the Ecstacy version at some point. |

As much as I love most Key VN's the only one I care about right now is Rewrite so please officially release it and I will buy it. (Though I would prefer a kick starter.)

I'll be buying Little Busters for sure. Not so sure about Tomoyo After, since it didn't leave me quite as pleased as I wished.

If it's only on Steam, it's by default all-ages. Though patches should be relatively easy to come by, considering the full version of TA was fan-translated, as well as most of LB! Ecstasy. Last edited by Blanchimont on Sat Oct 31, 2015 11:40 am; edited 2 times in total |

Fantastic news! After the Clannad release news my wishes were for Little Busters and Angel Beats VN's to get English releases now it seems Angel Beats is the only one left and I'm sure it'll get announced soon. So many VN's getting english versions all of a sudden, love it!

Oh man I'm super excited for Little Busters! I hope that there is a non steam adult version of Ex released. Now all I need is an official release of Kud Wafter that's been in fan translation hell for years now.

Everyone just has to remember to actually buy their stuff when they release it. Show the TRUE support and we'll get Rewrite and such. And we need Rewrite because I have no doubt that the anime of Rewrite from Studio 8-Bit will be subpar after seeing Comet Lucifer's lack of quality so far.
This, I find to be really amazing. Mad props to VisualArts for working with them to release quality project. Fan translation was extremely well-done and I can't wait to buy the official. |

*Cough* different staff *Cough* Comet Lucifer is directed by Yasuhito Kikuchi and its owned by Bandai Namco. Rewrite is directed by Tensho and its owned by Aniplex and Visual Art's/Key. I don't think that having the same studio = same quality Just look at DEEN They've done Fate/Stay Night in a poor way, and then they did Higurashi in a great way. Visual Art's president Takahiro Baba replied to a Rewrite fan who was excited for the anime, Baba said : "I think its good to look forward to the anime" (source: https://twitter.com/vavasyatyou/status/648139848671301632) Sorry I get a little bit heated up when someone mentions Rewrite, I still love you Kougeru <3 |

My heart skipped a beat when I saw the picture. My brain went, "Oh, man, are we finally going to get Tomoyo After Memorial Edition?" After that first split second, however, reality set in. Boo.

Pretty sure we will be getting the Memorial Edition. It's being released on Steam, after all. |

Wow. Between this, the imminent release of Clannad, the insane Muv-Luv kickstarter, the earlier releases of Steins;Gate and ef… as more and more of the top-tier VNs get official English releases, the absence of a legitimate release of Fate/Stay Night gets more remarkable and absurd.
That's pretty speculative. Remember that Key has previously done its own releases over here (the iOS version of Planetarian), so it may just be that they're not going to be tied to one English publisher. |
