And how many times does this happen to Mickey Mouse and Sesame Street and no one makes a fuss?

But that is heresy, you heretic!!
But seriously now, to bad that they had to change it. I didn't find anything offensive about it and I can't imagine that is was THAT disrespectful. Last edited by Flor2896 on Thu Oct 29, 2015 3:09 pm; edited 1 time in total |

So basically this guy is a massive fanboy and got mad because someone made fun of his favourite cartoon.

Anpanman is like the number 1 Character franchise in Japan. Kids that are to young to see things like Dragon Ball all watch Anpanman. It is even said that in every Household in Japan with a grade school kid has at least 1 merchandise of Anpanman. |

If you don't think that one of the most significant action of Anpanman, take part of himself(he is an Anpan -> https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/cf/Bean-jam-bun,anpan,katori-city,japan.JPG) to help others in need, and turning it of a guy giving a Poop, a testicle or even his only pants isn't offensive to you, then I don't know what you consider offensive. Also is important to note that Anpanman is a anime for grade school kids. |

So what? Osomatsu-san isn't.
No, it's not offensive. It's a parody. Deal with it. |

If people would not say a joke for fear of someone feeling offended, comedy would be a lost art, just like the manufacturing of the Stradivarius violin

Well I guess its just a matter of taste. I didn't find this offensive at all and I think that if they parodied one of my childhood shows in this manner, I still wouldn't be offended. I would probabaly laugh my ass off. But I do get where you are coming from and I admit, I have little knowledge of how the japanese culture looks at these kind of parodies. |

What I consider offensive is irrelevant. I dislike many things but rather than watch them and complain like a child I just change the channel / stop reading it and the problem always magically solves itself. People need to grow up and realize that their idea of acceptable is not a universal rule. |

You can't watch 3 episodes of Gintama without any (or all) of them appearing, and it's still very funny. Key point, though, is that while Anpanman's intended target audience is indeed grade-schoolers, Osomatsu-san's are more mature. Or in Western analogies, there's Disney's Bambi, and then there's SNL's Disney's Bambi.
One can always keep it in a safe place, like in a basement, or in a Vault. |

First of all, the show is not for kids and seriously that parody is not offensive, a persons' fifis over a parody that didn't target the person at all doesn't count as offensive.
