Because the original title is ALSO a word salad of "Smile Pretty Cure". At least Glitter Force has a better context than "Gangnam Girls". |

Well, I've already had my say on the entire enterprise. All that's left is to see what changes will be made.
Also, why is Asia always left out of the picture? Do we get lumped together with Japan? (^.^;) |

I remember that. In retrospect, I personally think they only suggested that title just so people wouldn't be nearly as mad at Glitter Force. Now, the question with Saban is will this be a terrible adaptation not worth watching, or will this be a fantastic trainwreck of mass destruction? I wish they weren't stuck in the 90's. |

They're Saban, they are going to re-edit every fight so it ends with them summoning the Happy Robo from episode 35 to land the finishing blow. |

The localization is confirmed for 40, as per Kids Screen and the composer's LinkedIn profile. I'm going to guess that the remainder will appear on Netflix in the future, probably sometime next year. Netflix does divide up their shows into parts, sometimes, and rolls them out slowly. If they have plans to distribute this world wide, outside of Asia, they're probably still in the process of dubbing the entire series, so may explain the split up. |

Get prepared everybody. With Doraemon, Yokai Watch, and this coming out, I think we're going back into an Americanized kids anime period again.

The US dub of Doraemon was produced by the Japanese companies. Disney just airs it and Viz had little choice in the matter. Let's get our facts straight. It was the Japanese's fault. @Actar: The US' bad track record (which has gotten better) concerns you not. You're not even from America! You're from the edge of the world! Also, whilst US dubs had edits, Asian English dubs have consistently had poor voice acting, but who am I to judge? |

Let's not generalize too much. It's just kids anime that are getting Americanized, which US distributors/networks aren't trying to market towards anime fans in the first place.
Where did you hear that? In general, the licensor don't care as long as they get that check, especially for these kids shows who's only point is to sell toys/games/cards in the first place. All those edited shows 4Kids has done over the years? All approved by the Japanese licensor. More often than not it's a US company going "Hey, we need to make these changes to market this show here," and Japan goes, "OK, you know the market conditions of your country better than we do." Few creators that strongly disapprove of their own creations getting edited, outside of big names like Miyazaki, Sailor Moon's Takeuchi, etc. even have enough influence to do anything about it, but such creators generally don't make toyetic children's anime in the first place. Not to butt in your scuffle, but as a European, what America does with localized anime tends to piss me off because, more often than not, Europe ends up importing the American version. It's not just your problem. |

Then that's your fault, isn't it? You could have gotten the scripts from a country with a better dub. The Italian dub of DBZ was way better than the French because it got its dub from the Japanese and not the horrible English or French dubs. Common sense, really. |
