Tried to go see it in NJ, but the disc they had had no audio for the movie itself. The live-action introduction from the muse members and the quick recap of the TV series had working audio, but as soon as that was over the movie started the audio cut out and they had to cancel the showing as they couldn't fix it.

Hopefully they fix it for Monday's showing.

It seems that the film of Love Live still has quite a bit of ecstasy left yet.

Everything was fine at the location I saw it at today.

I'm not at all surprised it has done so well. It was very heartwarming, but still with a lot of funny moments.

It had been a long time since I actually went to see a movie out at a theater. I'd forgotten how much more visually compelling a movie on the large screen is, compared to the TV screen. I seriously considered trying to buy another ticket to see it again for the next showing, but the crowd made it pretty obvious that the second show was probably sold out as well.

I imagine the editorial in Takeshi Kitano's new magazine would have been pretty pissed off if Love Live! had beaten Zatoichi.

It sucked. And what's worse for me is that I can't make it to Monday's showing so I won't get another chance to see it until its available online or something. =/

Reminds us of the High School Musical film series, except it's the play instead of idoling, but including the bittersweet of having to break up the gang and once rivals coming together

They announced the only UK showing to be on a Sunday so I'm hoping to be able to make it. Also managed to find some more reasonably priced train tickets that make the journey a more viable prospect. Excited~

Saw the showing San Francisco. A Cheerful little film. It`s not a dynamic closure. They decided to play it safe.

Seeing the amount of $ it`s making is insane. Down here in SF. We had 4x Showings.

Glad it's doing well. Just got back from the Boston showing and it was absolutely fantastic, got a Kotori shikishi too and couldn't be happier Anime smile After seeing this movie Love Live is cemented as my favorite series of all time and absolutely can't wait for the dubbed sets to release!

I ended up driving an hour and a half both ways, and I've got to say it was really worth it. They actually blew away my expectations on how many performances they could cram into a single movie while still making it work - though I've got to say I was disappointed in one, though possibly just from misinterpreting the script(spoiler[I WANTED AN A-RISE/μ's COPRODUCTION, DAMMIT!]).

@ Barbobot: Unfortunately, I didn't get either of those. We just got someone announcing that the first thirty in the theater had gotten prizes(even though I'd boughten my ticket earlier - le sigh), calling attention to the cosplayers(one of whom was in Nico's angel outfit) and just generally warming up the audience.

Haha, I was at the Boston showing as well. I wanted a Nico shikishi, ended up with a Honoka. Still, not disappointed! Loved the movie! Was certainly not a waste of time.

Attended the September 11, 2015 7:00PM U.S. premiere in Los Angeles. So glad I bought my ticket right after AX2015. We received character Shikishi and LLSIF codes for idolized SR Cards. I've posted some photos from the event.

It is at ¥2.55 billion as of Sep 8th:
http://www.bunkatsushin.com/news/article.aspx?id=106676

It will get an update in January 2016 anyway for the 2015 yearly list, so that total is obviously not final.

The movie was also released in South Korea as "러브 라이브! 더 스쿨 아이돌 무비" on Sep 3rd:
http://www.kobis.or.kr/kobis/business/stat/boxs/findWeeklyBoxOfficeList.do

After 18 days, it has grossed 532,938,000 South Korean Won from 68,747 tickets. This is ~¥54.4 million.
