The two seasons' story was pretty much complete. A sequel movie will have to either be a longer epilogue, or a new-threat-from-nowhere type story.
Ulith is about the only sort-of hook that's left. It'll be hard to build her up to be a decent threat. You'd need a nearly complete reset to previous circumstances. I have my doubts they can accomplish all that in a single movie and still have it end up a worthwhile addition. |

I'm pretty sure this actually will be a "reset" of some sort. One clue is in the cast list in the promo. It has spoiler[Asami Seto as "Iona Urazoe". Her character wouldn't have that identity going forward if it was a sequel, and I doubt they put that just to be misleading. If you look at Selector Spread Wixoss's official cast list, for instance, it's reflective of the character's new identities in that season. The promo seems to imply Piruluk is an LRIG again, possibly with Akira as her selector, which also hints at starting over from the beginning.]

Interesting theory. However, since Yuki, or in that form, Iona, is missing from the key visual, Maybe she only appears in flashbacks and doesn't impact on the story much.
