ever since 4Kids lost Pokemon, their bottom line has been going downhill...

that and the fact that analyst is recommending Mattel and Hasbro for children's entertainment investments can't be good for their business prospects....

i just wonder how long 4Kids have till it's officially dissolved...

I kinda wish they would release Tokyo Mew Mew on DVD Sad , even if it is the power version. Sadly, I don't think that will ever happen cause everyone already hates them and they know no one would buy it. I wonder how Yu-Gi-Oh! GX DVDs are doing?

Yep Pokemon was the main winner, And also if they hadnt screwed around with One Piece they would of raked in a fortune, the original story line in that show was awesome, but there made up one blew hard. There lose is from there bad idea's on what kids want to watch this in this day and age.

even though I dlslike what they did to one piece I wish they'd of been able to keep Pokemon- I enjoyed it far better under their power than with who has it now.

And i agree- One Piece would have earned a good chunk- I know I (and me alone wouldn't do much) would have bought the dvds.

I wonder how much more financial blood this company has to lose before Kahn gets the bullet.

I guess the ship is sinking

Hahaha, my english teacher has stocks in Hasbro, that's why she encourages us to buy Hasbro toys (esp.Transformers). Note she is in her 50's and is a high school teacher.

How much money on hand do they have at this point??

Still, thinking probably about one year left. And they won't be missed by most anime fans.

Sounds like 4Kids are heading towards the same path as Saban when Disney bought out most of their properties. You know, I wouldn't be surprise if Disney swooped in and buys 4Kids. Any children's entertainment put on Fox is cursed.

If 4Kids didn't screw around with One Piece to the point that Toei would actually decide to pull the license for it and give it to Funnimation, they wouldn't of lost the license for Pokemon as a result. Losing Pokemon is a nail in the coffin for 4Kids considering Pokemon was their biggest show. Now I feel sorry for the original voice actors of Pokemon losing their jobs after nine years of work, but I feel no remorse for the company after what they did to One Piece, one of my favorite shows.

Sounds like that is more probable than having it simply dissapper. If they dissolve, they take along with them all of their properties, which may never again see the light of day. Besides Disney, Time Warner would also make sense seeing as some of the more popular shows already are shown on Cartoon Network (TMNT, YuGiOh and before they lost it, Pokemon). All this happens if Al Kahn wanted to be bought out, though.

4Kids are hitting Rock Bottem Alright, Licensing Onepiece was a huge mistake for them, because the animation looked childish, they autamatically asumed Onepiece was a childish anime when in natural reality,it was teen oriented.

the only thing 4Kids has left going for are Yugioh GX, lets see if Dinosaur King can rise them to Power again, because that show looks like another Pokemon clone.

The only dubs I can actually tolerate from 4Kids were Pokemon and Ultimate Muscle

I wish Veronica Taylor was voicing Ash Ketch'em again, because his new voice actress from the Pokemon USA dub sucks major ass. but yeah, 4Kids actually did an excellent job on Pokemon and kept 50% of the original soundtrack, reasons why because Nintendo was watching them to make sure they did'nt screw it up.

Heh, if only they had kept the Pokemon license, especially considering how well Diamond and Pearl are selling....

Oh yeah, Whatever happened to Pretty Cure? They licensed that like, well over a year ago and that the last I've heard of it.

mmmmm.....my logic theory is, that either they're having some trouble with the production trying to find decent voice actors,or they just gave up on it completely, or they're just delaying it longer like they did with Tokyo Mew Mew when it was meant to premire in 2004 like 3 years ago but than delayed it untile february of 2005.

look at F-Zero GP Legend for example, it was canceled only after 13 episodes here in america because of bad ratings.

They probably gave up on Pretty Cure after Mew Mew Power bombed.
