Don't joke about this, Arnie Roth. FF12 is my favorite game in the numbered series. They don't have to remake it. They could just bring over the International Zodiac Job System version and give it an HD update or something. And you can make it portable, too! You know how much money I'd pay for that? ALL THE MONEY.

I don't really care what platform this releases on, I'll gladly purchase any remakes of FFXII that come out. I adore the game, alongside DQVIII they're my favourite PS2 games, and so this will be so good if it's true.
Hopefully it's not just Roth pulling fans' legs. Although, as much as I would hate that, it could be pretty funny. |

Probably not exactly a remake, but more like a FFX / X-2 port?
XII already had modern look, I don't think it needs a remake. |

In a world were we get a new Maden, a new Call of Duty and a new Assassin's Creed every year, I would gladly take a HD remaster of my favorite Final Fantasy game. With that said, I do think it's about time we started getting some new games. |

I sure hope this is legit. FFXII is, no joke, my absolute favorite Final Fantasy game, and one of my all-time favorite games as well. I've been replaying it this summer and cannot get over how much I would love a remaster of it. Not sure how I'd feel about a remake; the graphics are great but could be leaps and bounds better with the new technology, and it would be important that they keep the original music (re-recording/arrangement is fine), as well as bring back some principal cast members (Kari Wahlgren's Ashe is essential to me). I just hope they don't mess with the controls of the game, as I really loved the (much maligned, admittedly) gambit system, and wish there was a similar function in the other games. Between FFVII and FFXII (and, hopefully, FFXV), this is shaping up to be an amazing year for FF fans.
P.S. if they do remake the game, I hope they can find a way to make the Giant Crystal level less obnoxious. The online maps look less like guides and more like chemical make-up of atoms and elements! And more Gilgamesh! He's always a fun one to fight

Is actually my least favorite game in the entire franchise besides Final Fantasy USA.

I mean, I love the game... but why?
The graphics aren't top knotch, but they are certainly still serviceable. I don't really agree with so much focus on remakes in this series to begin with, but certainly there are loved titles in this series that are in much more of a need for a remake than FF12. |
