Aw man, my cousin is gonna be livid if Slipknot loses to a Japanese group of all things. And I will sit back and laugh hysterically at him.

Not the first time X Japan fans have swarmed a Loudwire poll on the band's behalf.

I wonder how the folks are going to reacted when X Japan wins the poll against Slipknot? Perhaps people are showing more interest towards X Japan's music than Slipknot's nowadays?

More likely they've done a good job of getting their Japanese fans to mass vote for them.

I haven't heard of Slipknot in ages. By any chance have they gotten better with time?

The fact that they're still relevant makes think that a rock artist's musical talents might age like wine.

Barring Iowa (2 good songs) they have improved album by album. .5: The Gray Chapter was a step up on the impressive All Hope Is Gone which did the same over it's predecessor.

Not sure what they're like live though so couldn't comment on this, watched a couple of X Japan gigs though and they seemed alright live. Nothing particulaly special. Great band though, roll on March 11th!

The other brackets disappoint me ever so much though, Kiss getting more votes than Rammstein for live performances is criminal.

That's what I was thinking as well. Nothing about this on 2ch? I've seen reddit organize mass votes like this before, so I figured it must be on a popular Japanese forum, but 2ch is the only one I really know about.

The amount of butthurt slipknot fans on facebook is hilarious. I saw it on slipknots cacebook post first, voted X Japan and they were winning by like a 70 30 split.

As long as Iron Maiden win in the end I do not care.
