Very impressive!
I hope this gets a speedy BD release in the future. Heard one of the songs (Angelic Angel) earlier in a clip and it looked quite impressive. |

There's an error here. The quoted 436,000,000 yen (4億3600万円) opening gross for Madoka 3 was a typo in the original report. It is the general consensus (2ch, the rest of the Japanese sales community, even the Yaraon post you used as a source) that it was in fact 400,003,600 yen (4億3600円), which makes Love Live! the highest opening gross for late-night anime franchises at 400,235,800 yen.

wow im going to have to really check this series out. Have heard nothing but good things about it.

The fact that some parts of the West will get it two months after its Japanese premiere, rather than two years, is both a sign of the times and of Love Live!'s popularity. |

Love Live just keeps getting better and better. To say congratulations on the wonderful success of the film is not enough. I am proud to say that Love Live is my most favorite idol series ever. I hope I get to watch the film here in the Philippines on October.
