I saw this earlier today on the "Find A Grave" website. I was surprised I had not heard about his passing on any other outlet.

Man, he's the sort of person you'd want to become a centennial and more. A living treasure is what he was.

I've heard people used to joke that he was immortal. I still think he is.

So, so depressed. I rarely get upset at famous people dying, but I really liked Sir Lee. I don't think I ever saw a role in a film where I thought he wasn't giving it his all. And what badass releases a heavy metal album at age 92? Only Sir Lee.

I remember like 10 years ago when I was watching Attack of the Clones I actually thought he was already dead, and when I was corrected, I was expecting him to die very soon just by looking at him. Dude lived to be 93, that's something to be happy about, not depressed, imo.

I must try to watch The Last Unicorn sometime this week.
Fun fact: Lee also voiced King Haggard in the German dub of The Last Unicorn.

And with his role in The Hobbit: Battle of Five Armies at 92-93, he now ties the Guinness Record with Estelle Winwood for Oldest Actor in a Film Role.
And still a badass, even playing a good one in the prequel.

Very sad news indeed.
Truly a legendary actor of epic proportions. he will be sorely missed. RIP

It really did seem that way considering how active he still was during the later years of his life. He always commanded such a great presence in his starring roles.
It has been a very bad day for veteran actors all-round, what with the news that Ron Moody also passed away today, aged 91. May he rest in peace as well.

Damn, some of his roles were truly amazing.

I did not know that.

"The Wicker Man" was probably my favorite thing he was involved in. Film probably wouldn't have been made without his involvement.
