I never seen of heard of a zombie anime. I mean its a okay genre of films but I never seen an anime treatment. Do they exist at all?

well while i havnt heard/seen of a pure zombie based anime, Tokyo Majun has alot of zombies in there as them being the villains. the action isnt bad either but i do recommend this one. the other one i could think of is zombie-Loan. a relatively new series and I've only seen 2 eps but judgeing by its name, i think it has somethin to do with zombies
 but doesnt strike me as much of a horror genre type zombie based

I think that Japanese seem to be more into vampires than they are zombies. I remember talking about this when I first came onto the forums, and really, there seems to be no real big zombie title. One title I have come to know and appreciate though has been that of the Hellsing legacy, be it the TV series or the OVA, Hellsing has been able to provide zombies for characters to kill, and enjoy watching them kill as well.

I don't know any that the main focus is zombies, but I wouldn't mind seeing one. Could you picute it though if Bleach was about zombies?
or even Azumanga Daioh...

That and monstrous demons of all the variety. Also we can't forget about the ghosts. 
As Clodus said before, Zombie-Loan is recently new but I don't really find it really enjoyable. I found it hard to watch the first episode and haven't watch the 2nd or 3rd yet but I'm trying to  . Overall I'm glad to see that there is a recently new zombie inclined anime. The last anime I had watched and enjoyed with zombies in it was probably Utawarerumono but it's not what you really call a "Zombie title."

I don't think of [b]Zombie-Loan[/] as a zombie show. Yeah, it's good undead people trying to eat living people, but I think of zombie-horror genre shows as more large numbers of mindless drones, while the first (human) zombie in that show was cable of fully coherent sentences.
Maybe High School of the Dead will eventually be made into an anime. |
