I'm surprised with Moon Phase.
I believe up until this, AZNTV has always only done CPM series.

MoonPhase is not that good. It peaks early then just goes down hill from there. The show also panders to the loli crowed quit a bit.

Begrudgingly seconded. This series has a great visual style, and though introduced as a supernatural vehicle, at it's heart is a parable featuring a young man new to the working world, dealing with insecurities as well as his feelings for a brash younger girl and an intimidating older woman, with the supernatural elements really as window-dressing to spice up a coming of age tale. After the first handful of episodes it hits the common 'no idea what were doing' anime writing wall, and becomes monster-of-the-week fluff. Disappointing miss, and a waste of a good animation effort.

They've aired several Geneon titles as well. not to mention their own titles under their "classics" line.

Sure you're not confusing them with Justin's iaTV? Confused

Dear Comcast Cable,

Thank you so much for dropping AZN from your Seattle area basic cable line up. It was really an ideal time for you to get rid of this silly channel since they are starting to increase both the quantity and quality of the anime they are airing. Evil or Very Mad

---------------------

GRRRRRRR. One of the few cable channels I used to watch regularly and the local Comcast decides to make it available only to their digital subscribers. Well, I'm glad for all of you that do get AZN. They seem to be one of the few channels that are willing to occasionally show subtitled anime in addition to the dubbed version, which is nice.

Now, back to my AZN-less TV... Crying or Very sad

Tough reviews Wink

I liked MoonPhase but do agree that the first half of the series was better than the second.
My theory is that maybe the original plan was for 13 episodes and after getting good reviews or whatever they were green lighted for another 13 that they had to scramble to fill. Beck was the opposite; they had a good setup for a continued story but then just compressed what should have been the second season into a 15 minute slide show.Anime cry

Anyway, looking forward to seeing how the english dub came out (hope they didn't mess with the opening theme - "Neko Mimi Mode" grows on you;-).

Paint me shocked; all of a sudden, AZN's actually trying to improve its offerings. Now they've got me hoping they can keep this up.

They did up the ante by showing last exile but im not that into it. plus late at night they might marathon some episodes of an anime.

:O Well this sucks for me. T-T

Damn...if only DirecTV had AZN.

That channel (before my dad decided to order DirecTV) was my first exposure to non-mainstream anime. ;o;

-runs to AZN-less tv-

Yeah I actually saw the commercial for this last night. Like around 1 or 2am. I'm really glad that they're showing Moon Phase. That commercial was a bit scary though Shocked [I was all alone and the lights were all off], because they're showing other Asian horror movies along with the anime.
