Attack on the City 
All the main Seiyuu are still there, not necessarily active as before, but they still sound perfect like before. Why do we have to replace them now (I am sill holding my hope that at least for Kamiya-san, otherwise I would seriously lose my hopes on the Anime industry this time) |

New City Hunter....YAY!!!!!
New voice actors....umm...... As much as I want to keep all of the originals, realistically, some aren't able to like they used to. As much as I want to keep Akira Kamiya as ole' Playboy Ryo, he can't keep it up like he used to at times.
*sighs* Still, will be interesting to see what's going to be done as brand new for the series, both the manga and the anime. |

Am I missing something? The manga ended in 1992, so why the new entry now? Is the author going to announce something, so this is done as a preparation?

Strange that they have new VAs, usually they try and keep them. And the VA for the main character, wasn't he the same guy who played Kenshirio from Fist of the North Star?

Oh for pete's sake, your beautiful memories will not be sullied. Just watch the old anime and be happy. As for new fans, let's have a new Ryo Saeba. Although I wonder if hords of feminists will come down hard on our little hero.

Great news but I fear for the same sentiments. Kamiya Akira has been one of the reasons I did got interested in anime, he's the great detective Mouri, the lady killers in Yawara and Maison Ikkoku. If he can come back from retirement to make one final bow, then I'm sure the fans including me will rejoice!
But as for the new VA, I hope it won't land to the likes of Kaji, Ishikawa, Miyano. I think Seki, Koyasu, Yamaguchi or Miki would fit the role since they are closer to the old generation. |

Well i do hope that it follows the Saint Seiya Omega, Sailor Moon Crystal, Lupin, Gundam Origin style of bringing the main seiyuu back from the original and re-cast most/some of the remaining. I know we haven't heard from Kamiya-san for a long time in an anime but just like Tohru Furuya, Shuuchi Ikeda being Amuro & Char. He is Saeba Ryo. Personally i have no interest in watching a City Hunter/Angel Heart without Kamiya as Saeba Ryo. |

Any excitement over this news was quickly changed to anger. As others have said, new seiyuu for this? No way, unacceptable.
To the few who stated Kamiya and company are not up to par to play these roles still? BS. |
