Man, you know what else I'd love the creator of Yotsuba to draw? Yotsuba.

Title's a bit misleading, isn't it?
Those are not Rei and Asuka, just other characters cosplaying as them.

I adore this. The guy knows how to draw sexy characters and he actually got his start making hentai doujinshi. I love his non sexual stuff too, but I think he does soft erotica (and even hard erotica) very well.

@#838375: One explanation might be is that sometimes with manga-ka they might end working on too many projects at once that it means one takes longer than usual to continue serialization.
An instance of this Rumiko Takahashi's One Pound Gospel because she irregularly serialized from 1987-2008.
Another example is that Cyborg 009 was irregularly serialized from '64-last year.

I agree. Even in a single glance anyone can see that the characters depicted are not Rei and Asuka. Bad misleading title.

He just put out a chapter one or two months ago. Pretty sure Yotsuba&! is monthly as well.

This is probably the first time that I've seen Azuma draw anything else outside of Azumanga Daioh and Yotsuba&.

Come to think of it, has the manga finished yet?

Yeah. Viz already released the 14th volume back in February. http://www.viz.com/manga/print/neon-genesis-evangelion-volume-14/11509
Just wished someone at Khara would spill the beans about the final Rebuild film. Either they cancelled it, having major delays, or Anno is holding the director & writers hostage for another 10 years.

He used to work for AIC, doing bonus comics for a bunch of their titles (Tenchi, El Hazard, Battle Athletes, etc.) - a collection of these was called Azumanga Recycle, and is the first time he used "Azumanga" that I can recall. I've also seen at least 1 non-H Sailor Moon doujinshi he did.

Ahh...yeah that always ends up being the case. Many of these talents have always cut their teeth working for some studio before they broke out on their own. I always like hearing those little tidbits of history.
