even though the recent 2 chapters of Akame weren't all that great, still nice to see it's doing well here

Glad to see Log Horizon on there, though I'm not sure why this week considering it came out over a month ago. People must have been bundling it with the light novel I guess.

Very good debut for Log Horizon on the charts! I'd love to hear information about how the LN is doing as well.

weekly top 10 doesn't really matter in US because the sale numbers are so low. You make top 10 by selling 500 copies. AoT #1 has been on top 10 every week last year, but the sale still very low. it didn't break 200k according Nielsen BookScan. It has more than in France and Japan in few weeks.
Manga is all about long, slow and consistent sell in US. You will never see a manga in top 10 for 90 weeks in japan.

I would actually be interested in knowing how sales of the manga and novel compare. I doubt we will ever know though.

Not seeing Viz's new release of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure on here. I hope it's doing well enough, I really want it to keep getting released.

It would be interesting to see US sales vs Japan of these manga. I heard Akame Ga Kill wasent doing all so well in japan.

That's because it's official street date is May 5th, even though Barnes & Noble had it available online a week or two earlier. I was hoping it would be available in stores, but my local B&N didn't have it at the time.
Currently, Viz licensed Parts 1 & 2, with Part 1, Vol. 3 coming out in August hardcover, followed by Part 2, Vol. 1 coming out in November hardcover. The release schedule is every three months. Both of those volumes are also available digitally.

Wow, a bunch of Assassination Classroom, though mostly near the bottom.
I should pay attention to these more, as I'm curious as to how One Piece does, especially compared to Fairy Tail. We're in between volume releases though.

Didn't know that Part 1, Vol. 2 was already available! Both of my local Barnes&Noble's have it but I'm debating on whether I should get it or not since I'm still currently making my way through the pile of light novels I bought last time.

Hey ANN, you're incorrectly listing the Log Horizon manga when it's actually the Log Horizon light-novel that made it onto the NYT bestsellers this week.

Yeah I just noticed that. lol I wonder if Mamare Touno can now put "Written by New York Times Best-Selling Author Mamare Touno" on the cover of his books now.
