For the new poll it's really just gong for your favorite show of the last 5 years, so really I have to go with Durarara. Sorry Psycho-Pass, sorry Nozaki, sorry BBB.

The one I that I think I agree with the most is Death Note because of the various Death Note stories that have happened in various news outlets.

Only 4 of those manga are completely banned in the affected countries (although Pokemon was eventually unbanned in Saudi Arabia in the 3rd generation onwards). I get the feeling more manga in Japan will get banned before 2020 but don't expect it to happen until around 2018 maybe 2019 if they wait close to the last minute.

Russian parents made a similar request to Vladmir Putin

Oooh yeah, I remember that crap. A girl commited suicide because her parents were a couple of brainless gits and no one really gave much damn about her, and then someone found a copy of a Death Note volume on one of her bookshelves.

The girl's parents started a massive s**tstorm (they obviously didn't give their daughter enough damn to wonder what she was reading before she smashed herself flat on the pavement). People started making petitions, coming into the town's few (semi-legal) anime shops and demanding Death Note be taken down from the shelves.

The morale? We russians have no problem blaming anything but ourselves for anything =)

So let's see if i've got this straight.... In a series where a main villain does villainous things, where even the creator of the manga admitted that the story was intended as an allegorical tale about how playing god and taking the judgement of life and death into your own hands was a BAD thing.... You agree with banning a work of FICTION just becuase it was on the news a few times.

....get out of here. Just... get out of this conversation and please don't come back. >_>

KarmaRocketX, you got me. I guess I forgot or didn't know that part. But hey, I am entitled to my opinion just as much as you are (even if my opinion on this could be deemed "stupid").

Death Note should be banned because it showcased multiple murders by a supernatural weapon? Its like they looked at the plot and immediately flailed their arms in the air and screamed, failing to actually understand the story. People who agree to this shit probably want something to blame that isn't themselves.

My daughter committed suicide, must be this cartoon book on her shelf that drove her to this. Not at all my fault for being a worthless parent who didn't bother to notice the signs and give my daughter help.

Shut the f*** up, Jesus. And China will probably ban anything that showcases that the government is made up of fleshy beings vulnerable to death instead of floating crystalline deities immune to the effects of time. Communism, woo!

Don't work around the swear filter like that. *'s are one think, switching a letter for a symbol that looks like the letter is another. Thanks. --willag

Wait a minute. If Death Note was banned in China, how can it have a Cantonese dub? The clip shown in that video was from the final episode too, so clearly they dubbed it all the way to the end.

Yeah, when I saw the title of this list, the one I thought was Pokémon too, but in Turkey, where the entire franchise is still banned (to my knowledge). The reason for that was because some kids watched an episode of the show, then jumped off a balcony convinced they could fly and both died. I don't think the manga was ever even able to start publication; I know the ban happened before the video games could.

That's true in every country. Blaming oneself takes great skill, apparently.

"Allah, the name of the Muslim God"

Lynzee Lamb, please, do your research before you make such statements because that implies that Muslims worship a God called 'Allah' when in fact Allah is just the Arabic word for God the same way as bonjour is hello in French.

He's the same being as the "Christian God" and the "Jewish God," phrases you see all the time. The phrase "(X) God" is synonymous to "God in (X) religion" and usually refers to God as is depicted in that religion's literature and folklore.

These things are pretty funny to read. I remembered one time the Vietnamese government banned Ouke no Monshou because it was "dangerous for the teenage-girls mind because of how Carol was treated at the beginning but still fell in love with the guy who treated her like a slave." Laughing Laughing .

Ah, I would love it if the Monogatari Series get to air on TV in America, I wonder how people would feel about it xD.

I voted for Blood Blockade Battlefront in the new poll because it is a fun show and I imagine it being one-cour is more convenient to air on tv.

And who in the world wrote in Blood+ It is from 2005.

It would be a terrible idea. There is no English dub, and only hardcore fans would get and appreciate Monogatari.

Gotta hate parents who are too stupid to realize that manga isn't real. It's fiction. Just like TV shows and video games. The religious parents are especially crazy, I vaguely remember some of them freaking out about Harry Potter because of the magic? Or something. They're just so easily offended by everything.
