i could have sworn Venus vs Virus was announced at AX already...
about time King of Bandit Jing OAV got licensed.....loved the fansub and manga version....
now if Kino's Journey movies get licensed, i'll be even happier....
Venus vs Virus is fanservice series...looking forward to quick fun and action....
don't know about Moonlight Mile....

What? No Kanon license anouncement. Does ADV have any more panels, or were they just jerking our chain at AX.

Alright 2 out 3 ain't bad as far as I am concerned. Moonlight Mile was really good, and more of King of Bandit Jing is always a good thing. Hopefully the rest of the studios will follow suit and announces some more big name titles.....CLAYMORE and Monster!

It's a good thing ADV didn't forget about King of Bandit Jing. I wonder if they're going to get some of the old cast from Monster Island to reclaim their roles.
And I had an inkling that ADV might get Venus Versus Virus despite the fact the series becomes a total disappointment later on due to the fact the manga is STILL ongoing (and to mention the manga does a much better job in the yuri undertone department ). It does have kickass OP and ED songs though.

Air license + lack of Kanon = total failure.

I was hoping Lucky Star would be licensed by ADV.

if i'm not mistaken, each studio only holds one industry panel for license announcement in anime conventions...
if ADV announces more license, then i would be extremely surprised...

Some studios actually hold several panels although some of them are basically come to this panel to get free stuff. I wouldn't be surprised if ADV announced more titles at Otakon. Even the news kind of hints at this being the first announcements for ADV at Otakon.

At their Friday afternoon Previews panel, ADV Films' Matt Greenfield and David Williams announced the first of ADV's Otakon 2007 new licenses |

Actually, ADV has frequently spread their license announcements between two or even three panels within a single convention. Their second panel is tomorrow at 1 p.m., so, stay tuned!

ADV is also expected to show up at Comic-Con next week as well. The programming guide states that they could make "a surprising announcement or two." So they might be trying to spread the R1 announcements as much as possible.

took them long enough to get the Jing OAV. I was wondering if it would ever.

*grins*
Venus Versus Virus, all right! Now they just need to cast Jessica Boone as one of the main girls and I'll be set.
But no Monster, or even Claymore? Big time fail.
As for Kanon, I think ADV wants to see how Air does first.

ADV is my favorite company, so I would really like them to pick up Kanon and Lucky Star, two of my favorite shows yet to be licensed.
