Okay, so I want just a little bit more info... is this going to take place after the first season? Is it a continuation? Or is this going to take a whole different approach?

Even fujoshi didn't like Diabolik Lovers anime. First season flopped in disc sales.

Then who IS the target base? Who wants to play as someone who gets constantly molested and abused? I don't get it. This makes no sense. I can understand the appeal of almost anything, but this one completely eludes me. Why is the game popular?

The first season was already weird enough, although it did start off interesting enough to keep me watching. Still, the appeal of making a second season completely escapes me. I really don't wanna go through another bout of 'Let's take advantage of and abuse that girl!'

Girls who are masochists... Or maybe the game is satire, so who it appeals to doesn't matter.

I'm an otome fan plus a female otaku but count me out for this one. The first few episodes were painful to watch.
However, good for the fans.
Hope Dance with Devils airs in the Fall as well. That looks more interesting imo.

A friend recommended the first season to me because we both like vampires and otome games. I watched all of it, but I can't explain why. I spent most of the time yelling at the main character for being such an idiot. It was kind of like one of those train wrecks where you can't look away. LOL. I'll probably watch the 2nd season, too, but after the ending of the first season, where does the show have to go? Or is this taking place before the ending?

I have to admit that I watched the first season with the horror that one gives a train wreck and a "are they implying what I think they're implying?" fascination.
When I heard about the second season, I had to wonder "where else could they possibly go with this - more of that idiot girl being abused by a group of vampiric sadists?" Perhaps I'm hoping that, after the events of the final episode(s), she gains a shred of intelligence and will proceed to turn the tables on her abusers.
