Same logic that lurks behind the name"Bolt," or lack thereof I suppose. Part of me thinks that Kishimoto will forever be haunted by Naruto and it's existence even decades from now he'll be publishing random things but it won't be noticed until it features a Naruto cameo of some sort. |

Is it confirmed that her name is translated as Salad? Because according to her bio page in NarutoWiki, a possible reference is to the Hindu goddess of Art and Wisedom Saraswati; or perhaps Sarada Devi, a notable Bengali mystic & spiritual practitioner that was highly revered within British India at the time.

I hope Boruto and Sarada don't end up as enemies like their dads used to be.

Some names/things/places in japanese that have 'r' are replaced with 'L' in english. It's nothing new. |

I don't care so much about the names as I do Kishimoto's apparent lack of desire to move the Naruto series forward and do something different with it. Unless his publisher has a lot more control over the series than I think.

It could be that Kishomoto is getting sick of Naruto and is just phining it in at this point. Considering he was making one-shots every now and then towards the end of its run, I'd bet he wants to do something else now.
