Really? |
LOL I thought I was seeing things when I read the article. |
Not only that but they're credited oddly in the encyclodia. ishikawa is credited as saitama and genos, and furukawa is credited as genos (which wouldn't make it respectively...). what is it really?

With Madhouse producing the animation, I can say with confidence that One-Punch Man is guarenteed to become an epic anime.

I'm confused now. Who is playing who? If it's this matchup, I sorta agree.

For anime to be considered 'epic', it depends on the source material, the animation quality, solid script, VA, music & sound and a reasonable budget*
While MADHOUSE as more-often-than-not producted high quality shows (No Game, No Life, Hajime no Ippo, Hunter × Hunter (2011) and more), it occasionally had missteps as well (most glaring is Mahō Sensō). So it's good to have expectations from the anime, but I wouldn't put it on a pedestal.

Furukawa - Saitama
Ishikawa - Genos

The confirmed staff inspires immense confidence in me though. To be fair also Magical Warfare was based on a meh LN.
We have Shingo Natsume and Chikashi Kubota (Both worked on Space Dandy) and at Madhouse mainstay animators Hidehiko Sawada and Yoshihiro Kanno who animated the best stuff in Hunter X Hunter will inevitably be involved. Besides them there's no Question Shingo Natsume will bring in some Space Dandy animation directors and whether or not Takahiko Abiru (also of Hunter X Hunter) will be involved is uncertain right now. It's really looking promising for this.

The staff looks good! I think I'd just be repeating the same thing everyone else is saying in MH doing the animation, but I will say this is a pretty good match.

^This is the worst part about Madhouse - the amount of blind faboys the company apparently has. It's enough to make me prefer it having been done by another studio.
The staff is good, but until I see a PV I can't say anything about the series. I only hope that the series remains as true to the artistic style of the original as possible.

Oh yeah, if we're talking about the true original style from the ONE comic...

...funny, but obviously I meant the manga, not the webcomic.

@ Kreion:
Hold on! I admit that my statement may be a biased but it's because It just happened it when the odds of MH taking it is low. You know,we were very excited. I'm waiting too for trailer and premiere before deciding whether it's epic or not. Beside that, I like Production I.G,Pierrot,Sunrise and Bones.
and
@That Samurai:
Not sure if I'm the "Madhouse dick riders" but for now, let's just keep it cool, okay?

Why would one not be hyped about this?
Madhouse is perfect for series with intense art-porn like this one has.
I currently can't think of any studio that can match Madhouse's animation quality for TV series.
MAPPA, maybe. Shingeki no Bahamut had crazy slick animation.
Does Production I.G. make any action series?
