Atlus fans speak up. Stop letting Atlus price gouge us like this. Speak with your wallet. They're successfully raising the market price for handheld games and its only a matter of time before other publishers follow suit.

At least you don't live in the UK where all handheld games are priced at £30-£40($50-$60). And to be fair most Atlus titles end up going down in price pretty quickly after launch, in the US at least.

Digitally, the physical price does not. Nobody wants to use the abomination that is the eshop. Atlus has absolutely no business proce gouging their loyal fans like this.

If the choice is Atlus being financially troubled, and paying $10 more for a video game. I'm going to pay $10 more dollars for a video game.
That said, the $50 'Collectors Edition' of Persona Q not coming with a sound track did kind of piss me off.

Atlus isn't financially troubled though, not by a longshot. Atlus literally prints money. Their games sell extraordinarily well for what they cost to make. Atlus is literally only charging $10 more because they know fanboys will buy it and defend them for charging more. There's no legit reason for this release to be $50 except pure greed.

Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker is only going to be $40. So clearly they are weighing titles based on something.

fffffffffartz
Well okay then.
That said I'm not sure they're driving portable prices up, since I'm not aware of anyone else on the 3DS charging those prices.

Right, yet. But once there's a precedent it's only a matter of time before other companies start following suit.
