Much hype, much happiness.
However, please for the love of god don't bring Junko back.

With the trainwreck that was Danganronpa: The Animation? That was terrible.

Being in the minority of those who actually liked the anime, that's great news!

If it's a minority, why would they make more?

Absolutely can't wait for it. Danganronpa is one of the very few games I've ever played where both the story and the gameplay completely drew me in. Especially the second game.
Also, they're finally adapting Danganronpa 2? Probably won't be very good if they go about it in the same fashion (Especially considering the game is 35 hours long compared to 25 for the first game) but I'd still watch it.
If it's possible I hope Funimation can twist Bang Zoom's arm and get them to do a simuldub if they pick up the show. Christine Cabanos was amazing as Chiaki.

From what I understand, not a lot of people liked the anime, but if they're making a sequel, I guess enough people did.

Not compressing it into 13 episodes would go a long way. There are still a lot of ways they can screw up the execution, though (pun somewhat intended).
I have nothing but praise for the SDR2 dub cast. To not include them in the English dub of an anime adapation of the game would be a crime. Sure, Funimation would still be able to get JYB, Todd Haberkorn, Kyle Hebert, and Patrick Seitz (and possibly Stephanie Sheh and Bryce Papenbrook) back no matter what, but there are no substitutes for Christine Cabanos, Steve Prince, or Chris Tergliafera.

Guys, he was just speculating that they would announce an adaptation of the second game because of this news. There is really no implication that they are going to do it for now.
