OHHHH Dang! If this ends up being true. I expect mods with each character replaced with the Mutton Man from Tales of Xillia.

After the success of Hyper Dimension Neptunia Re;birth1, I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing more and more JRPGS head to steam.

And in case anyone is wondering... Tales of director, Hideo Baba, stated a few months back that "Vesperia on Xbox is an experiment that wont happen again."

Maybe he would consider releasing the Vesperia PS3 version to PC if this hypothetical release of Tales of Zestria does well on PC? |

I was going to skip ToZ after seeing some of the early responses to the Japanese release, but hey, if it pops up on Steam I'll definitely pick it up.

What responses were those? The nutjobs angry that a certain character is only temporary playable? I'm honestly asking as that's the only negativity I know about, and if that's the worst thing about the game, then that's some seriously stupid otaku bullshit. |

Playing through Xillia with some friends right now, we constantly enjoy mocking the mutton man. "Mutton, fresh mutton!" |

From the little research I've done, the seiyūs from the ufotable's OVA are voicing the characters in the game as well, which piques my interest.

How about the god awful camera that makes multiplayer impossible? I've played every console Tales game since Abyss with my roommates, and having ToS era broken multiplayer is a deal breaker. -edit- I should mention that having half your party permanently unchangeable and the rampant DLC abuse via Mystic Artes and costumes for temporary characters are also sore spots, but it honestly comes down to broken multiplayer for me. It's the same reason I didn't get Tales of Hearts R. Last edited by Seif on Mon Feb 23, 2015 4:56 am; edited 1 time in total |

Multiplayer in an RPG seems like one of the last things that should matter, honestly. If that's the only problem then it seems fine to me. |

Four player Graces and Vesperia on the hardest difficulty is some of the most fun I've ever had with a JRPG. Xillia 1 and 2 gimped their multiplayer by forcing the Linked party to be computer controlled and had atrocious slowdown at times, but it was still a lot of fun for me and a friend. People have different priorities for different games. |

I hope this is true because if it is, This will be a great summer.

Have you ever played a Tales of game? They've been designed as 4 player couch co-op games forever and that's one of the huge draws to them. Although Bamco does keep moving away from that 4 player model, forcing you to link to characters and disable that character from manual control. |

To be honest, I don't count that as multiplayer, but as a subset called 'co-op'. And even then there are the 'Online' and the 'Local' groups. If one is prioritizing the Online group on the co-op, then the online code needs to be improved. If one is more with the Local group, then the technical code needs to be able to support it. |
