The catbus is from My Neighbor Totoro, not Princess Mononoke.

I'm not a fan of Ghibili works but I would like to see this in reality.

I can't find Porco Rosso's biplane in the airplane museum. Is it there?
I also like how various creatures are wandering around outside. I presume those would be people in costumes.

Well, at least the Japanese park-fanboys are more imaginative--
Over here, the minute a Disney movie comes out, the one only obsessive thing the "Armchair Imagineers" can think of "How about turning Epcot Norway into Frozen Land, with a dark ride in the middle? "
Guess the Tokyo Disney parks are a little more diverse for outdoor attractions, and the fans can draw other things.
That's about the only difference, though. Oh, and US fanboys would probably have a lot fewer Mononoke attractions (not that there wouldn't be none..."Ride a Yakul"?? ), and I can guarantee they wouldn't put Howl's castle in the middle.
(And I like the food court, but isn't there already that historical-storefront park that inspired the Spirited Away city?)

That's pretty dope. I love concepts like this, the more detailed the more fun.

And nice to see he remembered Mei and Satsuki's Totoro House that the Japanese world's-fair got, but not the life-size Laputa guardian from the Ghibli Museum.
But teasing us with that Hotel Adriano when he was just fan-wa...er, blue-skying is totally unfair. I don't know whether or not to hit him.

They'd also call the Castle in the Sky attraction something other than "Laputa."

Not be hatin or anything, but the "Torumekian air barge" is actually the Goliath airship from Castle in the Sky.

Really? I always thought Howl was a lot more popular in the West than other titles. In particular it is normally the title I hear pop up in conversations about Ghibli.
If we are going to go into minutiae details though, I personally think Howl shouldn't be in the middle. Either Laputa castle or the Spirited Away makes more sense as a central set piece. They are both more imposing structures that make sense as the central piece.

This would be my dream of the ultimate theme park.
Totoro's forest labyrinth seems like a fun place to explore.

I like how the map is styled like a Disney Park map.

Man oh man it would be funny if this ended up becoming a reality. I mean imagine riding on the catbus of Totoro? Well, what are we waiting for get cracking. We need space right?

He should sell prints, except I guess there'd be IP issues.

It's near the top left in Porco Rosso Land instead.

Oh, there it is. I guess that's another logical place it'd be.
