I loved how they blurred out Fate's face like she was a real person.

What was that tremor!?
Oh it's just Japan's birth rate fall some more. No change there then.

I think it has more to do with Japan's copyright laws.

Well, at least the folks owning this sort of dakimakura will have a creative way of staying warm throughout the winter.
...and yes, I knew that was Fate Testarossa that was on that pillow.

I was more amused by the model poses and sound effects.
They probably should have blurred the faces of the models. Some grandma probably had a heart attack after realizing her sweet grandchild has a heated dakimakura fetish.

I wonder how socially deprived some of these minds might have been to have come up with such an idea.

I assume this is for people that stay in the same position all night. I know a cord attached to anything I'm sleeping with with quickly become unplugged, damaged, wrapped around a part of my body, or all three.

I will occasionally turn over when I sleep and this is definitely something not for me.

Apparently I am the open minded one here...
I actually can't stand warm things when I sleep (I need a cool fan running after all) but I am actually highly tempted and kinda want one of these...
Then again, I hate actually physical contact so I guess if nothing else this mimicking human warmth could probably help calm my anxiety attacks and such ('cause actual people hugging me only makes it worse ) But they say that hugging and holding warm things help so there ya go!
Plus, then I can put my Izaya or Gil covers on it.

It's a joke and shouldn't be taken at face value (which unfortunately happens a lot among western fans everytime some news show up about these kinds of otaku gadets). Japanese love these kind of technical toys. They don't take it seriously themselves (but nevertheless, they pay good money for it).

Yes, I'm aware of that. But unlike brands or brand images, they didn't blur out everything, just her face.

Yes, a USB-powered pillow wouldn't suit me very well, since I would turn over every now and then. Plus, there's the of risk electric shock.
