My first manga that I will start working on today will be my manga, Sacred One. It may not, actually come out, in anime-retailer stores for a few years, 3 to be more exact. The reason? Simple... I plan to release more than one volume at once, but for some lucky people, I will post cover drawings on my DeviantART account, and MySpace, with episode cover drawings, as well. Which I will give links to from this thread.
Plot Summary: Sacareia -- A 17-year old teenager, who is the student of Sira Mazuka -- finds out that she has the natural ability to use Fire to her own will, and must master her ability at all costs to prevent any Elementalists, with the nature to kill humans, from getting to a special mineral known as the Unknown Plague. This may just be a better, and more precise way, though, to get everything through with others. I know that there were other threads like this one, but this thread is just a little bit more clear, other than scattered. It'll be REALLY hard for a person to keep up with all of my posts if I went to a thread, like the one provided in your link. Thanks, though, for giving a good suggestion. Though, that is just my opinion... lol |

Honestly, I'm shocked this thread hasn't been locked already. There's really no point in coming here and telling us about your project when there's no art or publisher and you won't be releasing anything for 3 years. Oh yeah, and it's not manga. The "Your own manga" thread exists precisely so we don't clog up the board with threads like this.

What is the problem with having a thread like this? I've already started on character designs, and for a publisher I'm looking forward to having Shounen Jump Manga (USA) publish it, hopefully. I don't really see the problem with a thread like this. The "Your own manga" thread does exist, but it really dosen't matter if I still want to post a seperate topic pertaining to my manga that I am, currently, working on. If there was an "Anime Discussion Thread", I can bet how sloppy everything would get in an instant, because you have all of the ideas colliding with each other. Which does get people confused, and not want to read your thread, or even post in it, to begin with. I'm not denying the "Your own manga" thread, I'm just saying that I don't feel like posting in it, since everything I post would be pretty scrambled. |

Actually the "Your own manga" thread exists specifically so the forum doesn't get cluttered with other threads of the same nature, which this one is. We let you through and we'll have to do so with everyone else. There's no real use promoting something that doesn't even exist yet and doesn't look to exist within the relatively near future either, and if it was to exist such a promotion would belong in the retail forum.
