I was thinking the same, and I highly doubt these are made in China (not being racist or throwing blanket statements), right? |

First there was the Amiibo of Duel-Cannon-Wielding Samus, then came the two-headed Marth...and now we have an Amiibo of Peach having an extra arm...
I wonder what new defect Amiibo is going to pop up next? The folks at the auction are going to have a field day trying to own even just one of these anomalies. |

Fingers crossed for a Rosalina and Luma defect with two or more Lumas.

With just that one picture I cannot be sure, but it looks to me like the third arm is just loose in the package and not actually part of the figure. When asked about that the person who listed it on eBay evaded the question and said " I will let you the collector's be the judge on what you classify it as." I doubt that this really qualifies as a "Three-Armed Peach." I have bought a few figures that included extra arms, and other parts, but judging from the attention that this is getting I assume that this extra arm was not intentional. |

Who knows if it's even a real manufacturing mistake? There are people and ways to fake a defect product. For example, someone could have carefully opened and resealed the package after they placed another Marth head in. I don't really see a point in paying $500 for a 3-armed Peach either. After all, you can't do anything with it except for letting it sit on your desk collecting dust (Unless of course you're still childish enough to play with them).

Well, the point of amiibo is to have them fight for you in Smash Bros. and to unlock things in other games, and plenty of teenagers and adult gamers have played with amiibo.
Those ridiculous prices feel like heroin pill tins though: People, for some reason, will pay stupid amounts of money for something they can laugh at. |

I was referring to the defective amiibos, not the normal undefective one. I know what amiibos are for. |

Reserve not met? at $365 for a $13 figure? Sounds like someone is just greedy. I'd be happy just getting $50 for it, it's a defect, it doesn't make it more valuable nor does it add anything to the game.
Here, I'll buy two Peach, I'll break one of her arms off and glue it to the other. Would anyone like to buy it for $20? I'll throw in a one armed Peach for free. Jackasses |

Tell that to stamp and coin collectors. Defects can add hundreds to the value. |
