This really surprised me.
Because crossover game with anime/manga (that include Shonen Jump characters) are almost impossible to get a release outside of Japan. We couldn't even get Jump Super Star nor it's sequel in North America due to licensing issue. How is it possible for this game to get a release in the US? Could this mean Super Robot Wars (beside the 2 OG games and Endless Frontier) and Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax (the one ANN reviewed) could get release outside of Asia in the future? Well butter my butt and call me a biscuit. I think the impossible just became reality.

God It's been a good weekend of announcements!
I hope they don't have to remove anything but I'll probably buy it either way. An english dub is probably also asking too much. |

My best guess is that there's either been a change in rights laws and Bandai-Namco only needed Viz's approval; or Bandai-Namco's been busy the last few years getting the video game rights to as many Weekly Shonen Jump titles as possible. I think Dragon Ball Z Kinect was the last time an English-language game adapted from the magazine was done without any involvement from Bandai-Namco. |

Man, there is so much good news coming from this year's Jump Festa. I am so happy, especially about the new Gintama season. That this game is coming west, and we are getting a really awesome looking JoJo game makes me so happy!

That's pretty crazy.
Shame this game wasn't multiplatform, I got no use for Sony-anything outside of when I eventually want to play The Last of Us. |

Considering Sony has basically been the console of the JRPG since well its inception with the ps1, and generally that goes hand in hand with being an anime fan, I find it odd you would criticize the company. What console would you want it on exactly? The xbox which sells nothing in Japan, country of origin for most anime. I guess the 3ds would make sense due to sales, but then again especially for a fighter its something you want to play on a big screen. |

So how much of the cast will remain intact? Some of these series have never been licensed in North America.

Ok, but hold on your horses, I doubt the anison sound edition will be also released on the west with all those songs.
Chance are this will be like Saint seiya or One Piece Pirate Warriors games, without the original songs, just with the generic music, which takes alot out of the fun of these games. In that case there is still reason to import the anison sound edition, as a fighting game, it does not require you to know japanese to enjoy. |

There is hope for Dengeki Bunko maybe, since Unlosing Ranger had characters from Dengeki Bunko and they still released the game with these characters in the west. For Super Robot Wars I doubt it, a fighting game is easier to localize than a text heavy game, especially since the script for SRW is quite difficult to translate because of all the references to various shows, and half of the script being just fanservice and nothing important (just look at the OG script). Would be fun if they managed to at least localize the 2nd OG game. |

The only thing Sony deserves to be criticized about is not releasing their film as intended. |

The Anison Sound Edition is not even that great because it only had the TV opening sized versions and not the full songs so it won't be a big loss. |
