Is it just me or is that image a bit of a spoiler?

Ugh, so Asseylum is still alive? I really liked this show until the was "murdered" in the shower, but that was the point where I felt the show's quality take a nosedive. Still, looking forward to season 2, if only because I'm hoping the show will redeem itself.

oh, damn. She's alive... I bet the other guy is too. Inaho was it?
Not sure I'll watch season 2. Wasn't keen on the first. Started out ok, but none of the characters made an impression on me.

I'm getting sick of Sawano's music. All of it sounds the same. I was excited for him being involved in Xonoblade X. but now I realize there's no way his score can beat the original, which was phenomenal. The trailers for the game have music pretty much the same from his anime.
I hope he starts changing it up.
Note: I'm not watching the show he worked on this season, so he might've changed his music a bit.

Coming from a person that have only watched the first season, know (... knew) nothing else other than what happened there, and is kind of looking forward for the second season (especially considering how the first one ended)... I won't lie... getting spoiled here, on a news article, made me rage "a bit"...

No Kalafina? Damn, that sucks. Well, I guess Eir Aoi is okay too.
Glad Sawano is working on the OP. The OST for this show is Godly thanks to him.
Oh, and I see they're still pretending Urobuchi actually had a role in writing the series past, like, the first episode. But I guess that's how marketing works. After all, I got suckered into watching this (Admittedly pretty good but not nearly as good as it should have been) show in the first place at the promise of a Fate/Zero reunion with Sawano doing the OST. But in the end only Sawano's contribution lived up to the hype.

So the Princess is alive? Damn, hell no. How is she always able to escape death? Now tell me that this one or that one was a fake replacement. Okay, I'll just let it slide because I just want to see that Asseylum shooting someone like in the first opening.

I guess the only way to die in this anime is getting killed by a mecha.

This should be still enjoyable despite the story being ruined forever by Asseylum and most likely Inaho surviving their gunshot wounds.

So the princess is now wheelchair-bound? The bullet must've "only" struck her spine. A la Charles Xavier in X-Men: First Class. Okay, that explains her survival.
Inaho, OTOH, was head-shot, POINT-BLANK. Let's see...

Pretty much all Aniplex shows are starting to feel the same to me now that way. Ever notice how they basically just rotate around the same artists for theme songs too a lot now. It's just like a never ending beat of Kalafina, LiSa, Elisa, Eir Aoi and Luna Haruna now for the most part. It's pretty much just Sony Music Entertainment plugging their own artists, but still it's gotten really bloody old and kind of gives the feeling of shows running together now too since the music just all sounds bland for their stuff as a result and that's before the problem of entirely too much Sawano and Kajiura scores comes into play. In fact I was actually stunned in a good way when somebody other than Kajiura was announced to do the music for Fate/Stay Night since I didn't think their producers had the guts not to lean on her seemingly inexhaustible popularity as a composer. It doesn't help too that a lot of these artists songs all just kind of sound the same to me now too.
A lot of people seem to find a lot of these artists amazing though, but the whole rotation honestly bores me to tears now. Music in Aniplex series is just so phoned in now. Speaking of boredom, like no interest in the second season if I'm being honest. I mean I'm a mecha fan but Aldnoah.Zero had all the charisma and personality of a wet paper bag at the end of it's first cour run and little stood out to me as noteworthy about it, it's premise, or it's cast after 12 episodes. Totally another example of an over-marketed all hype and no pay off Aniplex produced original schlock to follow in the footsteps of a now longstanding tradition. Boy are they making anime and the current status quo boring as absolute fudge to the point of late night anime becoming all but unbearable to me in this era of their near total popularity and control over it. They seem to have hooked a lot of younger teenager types with their whole hype/marketing based angle and in your face approach to running a show, but I just get nothing out of stuff like Aldnoah. Meh..

I wish people would stop acting like it would be so difficult for Asseylum to survive her gunshot wounds. She was shot on the right side of her chest, in an area that could have easily avoided all organs. And the other bullet at most grazed her head. I realize it was bloody, but this isn't a situation of the anime keeping her alive above all plausibility. This really is a pretty survivable situation were she to get medical help quickly. Inaho is a much iffier thing though, as gunshot wounds to the head are something like 90% fatal. Anyway, killing off the idealistic girl to prove the cynicism of a universe has become a common trope in anime recently, and I find it rather gross, so this spoiler image was a huge relief to me.
Continuing, I think the music was the strongest aspect of the first season, so I'm super hyped to see what they have in store of S2's OST.
