In a previous thread where I asked if anyone knew where I could find some sheet music for a song off the FMA soundtrack I was told that it's possible to obtain sheet music with the use of MIDI files. Well animelyrics.com have MIDI files of a couple songs I'd like to obtain the sheet music for. I'd like to know how do I go about getting that? Is there a program needed or something else? It'd be greatly appreciated and I hope I'm not going off-topic with creating this thread.

There was a freeware program but can't find it now but there is a website where you can basically get the same results if you had the program.
http://www.8notes.com/midi_sheet_music/ Just simply follow the instructions and you should be able to the sheet music you want.

Try Finale. It also enables to create your own sheet music and MIDIs. It's a staple program for music students in my U.

 I'm assuming Finale is really good considering it's being used in a University.

You can be sure of it. I made some MIDIs with it
 .
However, I must advise you: It usually appears in different notations, keys and tempos, so it may not be what you're really wanting. It's better to find the real sheetmusic and then turn them into MIDI files. |

Well I don't plan to create MIDIs though it would definitely be something I wouldn't mind playing around with. Tony K. linked me to a book that apparently contains Fullmetal Alchemist piano solo's. I neever knew it even exsisted but unfortunately I'm not sure if I'll be able to get it especially because my parents don't allow me to purchase online.
