Yay! Backed, and can't wait. It's what made my favorite anime of all time.

Could they be a little more clearer though.
The description seems to indicate that, other than for the $50 tier, you need to choose the $50 add-on, in addition to the pledge of your choice, to get a physical copy as well.
Or have I understood wrong?

I was confused about that as well. Normally you get all of the rewards below your tier, or most of them, but it doesn't say anything about that on the page. I just went ahead and did $50 for the physical copy and added $25 for the CDs just to be safe. Those are the two things that I most want anyway.
We can always change it later if they clarify.

Essentially yes - unless the tier specifically mentions a physical copy, you need to add an additional $50 for each physical copy you wish to add. I don't think they've said anything about how much you need to add for shipping costs for add-ons yet though.
At the end of the campaign they'll use BackerKit so that you can specify where you want that additional money to be spent (if you did not pledge enough extra to get what you wanted, usually BackerKit will allow you to pay the extra money in order to get that add-on).

It might seem confusing, but not all Kickstarter's follow that mentality - what you see in the tiers is exactly what you get in this case from what Sekai Project has told us thus far.

^^I went ahead and asked the question on the kickstarter page, so maybe we'll get a better clarification at some point.

There is a chart near the bottom of the page detailing the rewards for each pledge level.

KyoAni's adaptation of Clannad was a life-changing experience for me, sappy and manipulative as it may be, and the Western world NEEDS the original game to be available. I've waited years for an English release of some kind; this is perfect. I've put in $60. I'd put in more, but I'm about seven miles into my overdraft already. ;

Went with the physical copy for $50. Man, those early-birds sold out fast! Really wish it launched while I wasn't at work today!
I wonder if anyone might actually go for 7k.

Bagh, I would only help fund were there to be an English dub produced, even if it were just a stretch goal.
I can't stand it when games are not properly localised. Shoving on English subtitles is not good enough.

That terrible art is getting a funding campaign? How about Grisaia dudes? Freaking work on that FIRST then look into Clannad.
Also, Clannad is already fully translated. Sekai is stealing those who translated the novels. One by one.

Probably they can do more than one thing at once, they're just not ready to start the Grisaia Kickstarter quite yet.

Wow, the $1000 tier went QUICKLY. I'm curious what the final tally is going to be. Alas, Clannad doesn't quite hit my sweet spot.
