Not going to lie, even though I hate the whole skylanders thing, I would probably end up picking this up if I could understand Japanese. This looks pretty fun, and the Kamen Rider figures look like stuff I would collect anyway so I find it pretty cool, sadly the language barrier is going to keep me from getting this one.

What's up with the High Fantasy look of the game? I thought Kamen Rider was scifi mage-tech. Shouldn't this game take place in the city streets in the not too distant future or something?

haha, I've played Japanese games since I was a kid without understanding one single thing, there's not much you needed to know when you get the hang of thing especially these Kamen Rider games. Usually just the: Single Player, Multiplayer, Option, etc so it's not that hard to figure out once you've explored around the game. I once finished the Bakemonogatari Portable game even though it has nothing but Japanese. So just try to get it if it interests you, won't be that hard to figure things along the way.

It depends on the series. Last year's Gaim involved an alternate jungle planet full of mutated fruits, plants, and monsters.

Yeah I've done that with a few games in the past like Jump Super/Ultimate Stars and a few Gundam games like 0081 and Breaker. I might end up getting it later on if a story synopsis comes out and maybe a translation guide if the missions get really weird or something. Jump Super Stars was the king of that.

Most Kamen Riders do take place in a urban seeming setting, but it depends on the show sometimes. I'm pretty sure after watching the trailer, the Kamen Riders are being summoned into the Crystal World. So I'm guessing the fantasy look is from that, and I don't think the Crystal World is from any Kamen Rider show so I think it is new.
