I could care less who has the parts, only that they make a good movie that is true to Shirow's Ghost in the Shell.

Yeah, I suppose the players don't matter as long as they can fit the roles, and that movie isn't more RoboCop, Thing, Total Recall garbage. You'd never feel more detached from your emotions than when you watch those.

The biggest question about this is which version of GITS they're adapting. The manga, the movies and SAC all have different continuities and tones so that'll be a big factor.

My God! This would be a dream come true! Margot Robbie had a certain elegance to her that would have definitely worked for the character, but... you can't get much better than Scarlett. You really can't.

Does anyone have any problem with this having no Japanese or asian actors, I would even settle for half white/ asian mix race actors

At this point I just hope it is a half decent movie even if it stirs wildly away from the source material, and even then I have little faith in what will end up on screen.

What's funny is scar jo, played in Lucy, which was a Elfien Lied ripoff
I'm very uneasy about white people taking asian roles, the Japanese
really has everything thing for sale, even their culture
Anime characters, look like Eurasian in my view, which are asian white mix

Except for her actual acting being pretty bad. She had a good stunt person in the Marvel movies and she looked good. That's all she has going for her now days. Watch LUCY. Her acting his horrid.

Don't forget Edge of Tomorrow too. I read All You Need is Kill after watching the movie, and it's just so much better. They actually have feelings. Can you believe it? Feelings.

I think a wet blanket could act better than Scarlett. She's only eye candy in most of her movies, which us why I'm not a fan of her being the Major.
